Need customer input as I am designing the mono channel case.

Would it be better to have a narrow, longer case that is 2.5" high OR a case that is wide but shorter length that is 2.5" high OR a narrow + shallow depth case that is 4.5" high?

What is Chassis width of the different options?

Perhaps for people using racks, fitting two side by side on a rack shelf would be a more attractive option. ;) In that case, height is a factor, too.

Option 1:
10.5" wide x 7" deep x 2.5" high

Option 2:
7" wide x 11" deep x 2.5" high

Option 3:
8" wide x 9" deep x 4.5" high

I would pick the option that maximizes your ability to assemble them easily and reliably.

Option 2 for me.

It is nice to be able to put monoblocks side-by-side on a shelf, and 11" is not too deep for most consoles or racks.

How much space between amps would be needed if they are side-by-side? Hopefully still fit a 17" rack space....

There are no side vents so could put them right next to each other, easily fit two on a 17" wide shelf

Option 2 it is

I just ordered a 3 ch 1ET400SA amp and wondered if the power supply could adequately serve 3 modules and drive them to full power simultaneously.

Per my discussion with Purifi, they say it can. I will be testing peak output all three channels driven to confirm.

Podľa mojej diskusie s Purifi hovoria, že môže. Budem testovať špičkový výstup všetkých troch kanálov, aby som to potvrdil.
Please measure the three-channel Purifi amplifier with one power supply even at 8 Ohm load. Well thank you.

Even if it can't handle peak loads indefinitely there is nothing preventing a more powerful PSU from being swapped in as they become available, right?

3 amplifiers fed by one power supply is the way to go when it comes to minimizing the small idle losses because the SMPS chews up more power than the 1.5 watt idle usage of each amplifier module.

I was hoping for a big case with large cooling fins on the 1ET7040SA. Although it can theoretically put out 900 watts at 2 ohms, this is heat limited. I doubt anyone will need this much power. Even the 1ET400A can put out about 500 watts at 2 ohms, the output is thermally limited. If there were some water cooling system running on the 1ET400A, you could probably get more power at low impedance.
