Purifi's main business is OEM. Their customers work on a totally different time scale than consumers. Their OEM customers need to plan ahead to incorporate any new Purifi products into their pipeline, which can also take years.

How did you discover the 1ET400A's replacement, I just googled that model number & only Buckeye's listing came up1ET6525SA. Based on the name I would guess it's as powerful as 1ET400A but as clean as 1ET7040SA.

Purifi's Claus Neesgaard had this to say of the 1ET400A's replacement, "We have not yet officially announced a 1ET400A replacement module, but when we do it will be form/fit/function equivalent. I.e., it will have the same voltage/current capability as existing."
I did try to temper expectations by saying they would be subtle changes (I think that's what I said). Essentially just a refresh with only a modest price increase over the 1ET400A prices. So slightly more powerful with slightly lower noise and distortion than 1ET400A. A small incremental update I would say.
$50 more$100 more with 6-8 week delay. Looks like it still won't have OPA 1656 or gain stage 0f 27.5dB or higher available?
YesAre the new Purifi 1ET6525SA modules the same footprint as the 1ET400A? Could the 1ET6525SA be easily swapped in where the 1ET400A was previously installed?
Yeah, I'll stick with my 400A monos which are already more than I need to be honest. So slightly more powerful with slightly lower noise and distortion than 1ET400A. A small incremental update I would say.
