@Buckeye Amps
Are you also palaning on doing NC500 Mono Amps?

Yea im looking at the Monoblock Hypex NC500MP, the one I found ( living in canada ) is the AUDIOPHONICS MPA-M500NC at 803 euro shipped for a pair of mono. I dont know if its possible and if Buckeye could implement the XLR/RCA option and 12V trigger in a futur build. If I could find something similar from Buckeye it would be nice :). There is also the more excotic case of the Hattor 500mp that is pure porn but at 1200$USD before shipping from polan it might end up with a solid bill when it will reach my door in canada. Nord audio as a NC500 ( no MP ) at 1130 euro for the pair, extra 10$ and it ships from the US so less cost but still ...

The mono 500mp would drive my linton heritage 85 really well, im still looking around for options.

At this time I am still only going to be using the NCxxxMP Hypex modules. While they don't have the same wattage output (500w vs 700w @4ohm), their overall performance ratings only vary by a little bit.

But do you plan to make monobloc ? from a NC500MP ? I really have no expertise in electronics I dont know how complex it would be to add the RCA/XLR input switch that dont have the same sensibility, something like audiophonics is doing.

So I don't plan on carrying the mono channel NC250MP or NC500MP, mainly because the cost difference from Hypex at OEM pricing isn't much. My stereo offerings are only slightly more expensive than if I offered a mono offering. Performance wise, there is absolutely nothing wrong with only using one channel of a dual channel module (a lot of people run their front LCR off of a 4 channel amp, myself included).

Regarding RCA connections, Hypex themselves recommends using XLR even if the source signal is unbalanced with a proper RCA to XLR cable vs. using an RCA to RCA cable.

Customers should just buy 2 NC502MP amps and use only 1 channel of each = mono amp. :)

And you can “bridge” the channels too if I remember correctly. It takes some interesting wiring but can be done

Yea the external bridging is pretty simple, just need an XLR splitter, unscrew one of the ends and swap the + and - wires

An update: I am running a solid 2wks behind on initial EVA'S given at time of down payments.
Have been cramming to finish up experiments for a journal article we are trying to get submitted within the next two weeks.

For anyone who I gave a guaranteed finish by date at time of down payment/purchase those will be done on time.

Rest assured I am still building during this busy time. Just not as quickly as usual right now.

Update to show the Aircom T8 fan with the Buckeye amps. so far it seems to do a good job cooling both amps.

Do you notice heat on the top of the 6 channel NC502MP? Just wondering if the fan is needed?
Any idea how many Watts the 6 channel NC502MP uses with an 80dB sound level?
I'm guessing it's on the low side with the Revel F328Be. Thank you,

Over the channels driving the LCR was warm but not hot. I didn’t measure it though. So the fan is likely not needed. Since I stacked them I thought that an ounce of prevention just to be cautious.
