Looks like very good prices, and it's nice to have a US based supplier for these kinds of amps. I've already got an imported 5 channel based on 2x 502mp and 1x500mp which cost a good bit more than your 3x 502mp especially after import duties. Maybe someday I'll add more speakers and channels but would be tempted to go with you if I was buying again, assuming Amir's not too harsh.
How well can the amp handle the heat of 3 modules for your 6 channel?
Are you offering 12v triggers for off/on?

Yes, all the amps come standard with 12v trigger for me.

In terms of heat, the original DIY build I did with a 6 channel (3 module) NC252 using a case with worse ventilation and without mounting the module backplate directly to the chassis I still don't see temps over 86C during heavy use according to my AC Infinity Aircom

@Buckeye Amps Any news/updates on when Amir will have a chance to look your build over? If we order before his review and he has any findings (big or small) that need corrections, would you be willing to fix these without cost to the early adopters?

I don't have an update. With the election and everything this week, I was waiting for Lonestar to reach out to me for an ETA if anything has been setup. Wasn't trying to rush him or Amir.

Regarding issues, if there is a glaring issue that I overlooked that only I can rectify I would take shipment back and fix it (or refund if the original buyer no longer trusts/wants it). If it is something small I overlooked that the user can fix (if for some reason I mixed up the Inverting vs. Non-inverting pins) I would offer a small refund to make up for it.

At this time, I am not sure what glaring issue may come up. Mains wiring is correct, though on the unit going to Amir I did not have the quick connects covered in extra heat shrink as I am doing going forward. The one issue he may find is if the way I did the Pin 1 implementation is still not up to snuff for being exactly proper. But based on feedback of how I wired it, I think it will be OK.

I don't think Amir will find anything to gripe too much about. These are standard modules so the only thing Buckeye Amps could do that would really affect measurements is cable routing and proper grounding. All the connectors are crimped, no solder work anywhere, but they are all well done crimps that have been heat shrink protected, signal cable and all the connections are high quality. If and when Amir tests the amp it should be close to or at Ncore spec though he may have suggestions on better routing or such.

I'm a DIY kind of guy so the opportunity to get these modules at this price in a halfway decent case (have a faceplate made if looks bother you) was a no brainer. I've currently got my Buckeye amp totally torn apart because I'm adding in a couple Icepower 125ASX2 modules to run in BTL in addition to the two NC252MPs so the crimp connections are great for my purpose to make a 6 channel amp in a 17" 2U form. Buckeye was great to work with and provided the extra wiring, XLR and binding posts at cost when I told him my plan.

If what you need is an amplifier that works as intended give Buckeye a jingle. If you need street credit on a fancy case in your rack, shop around but I suspect the audible results will be much the same unless you get a unit with somebodies implementation of a buffer.

Update: Amplifier just arrived. I'm going to use it for a few days and then will coordinate with @amirm to have it evaluated. I'm not sure how long the line is, but I imagine it will be several weeks before the evaluation is complete.

Hope it arrived in good condition. The thick bubble wrap I'm using seemed best to limit any bouncing around so connectors don't come loose.

Double wrapped in bubble wrap, case is flawless. Internally it looks great. Well laid out, grounded to a bare spot on the bottom panel. Looks like there will be plenty of airflow without a ton of wasted space. I'm definitely impressed.

Can't wait to lift the veil and listen as the artist int..... kidding!

Here are pictures of a 2 channel build I just finished for a member.

19" cases are ordered (can do four NC252 or three NC502 or two NC252 + one NC502).
I expect my NC502 modules to ship from Hypex tomorrow.

Hmm, just supposing @Buckeye Amps were to sell these as (solderless DIY) assembly-kits, would that make a difference regarding import duties for EU-based customers ?

A view of the back.

And a picture to reference showing I'm doing my due diligence with Pin 1 (ground coming from Hypex module will use quick connector on bottom of XLR housings when complete).

Was there a practical reason for placing the XLRs on the bottom and binding posts on the top rather than the more typical layout of inputs above and outputs below? Also, these look really nice. Great work.

For me, the internal wiring was more practical to have the XLR's on the bottom (also having them upside down vs. traditional orientation) as I am using screw terminal Neutriks.

I had decided that I would stick to my allusion to Uber autonomous vehicles program that was canceled after somebody was killed (their motto was "safety third" BTW), but I feel guilty to shut up.
These opening are large enough to let a kid access to mains voltage. This is extremely dangerous.
I am sure that you don't want anybody to be hurt because of you. So please get your amplifiers checked by a specialist (and no, sending one to Amir is not enough). He will certainly suggest modifications, apply them, whatever the cost, including to the amplifiers you already sold. Please.

I was actually worried the cutouts may be too large and I can certainly modify the design to incorporate smaller width cutouts no problem.

Although the openings might seem big, the only way a kid could potentially access the mains voltage is if they somehow got a 90 degree tool inside. The openings are far forward and high enough that a kid would need both freakishly skinny AND long fingers in order to get anywhere near the insides, much less the mains.

I concur, but they are big enough for coins, needles or a paper clip. May not hurt a child, but will not be good for the amplifier
