Buckeye Amps: New US based Hypex multichannel amplifier builder, line-up announcement!

It is not tariffs themselves, but the recent changes that can get us into a problematic political discussion.

Let’s ensure we stay on topic and avoid the politics.

Thanks!

Update regarding Benchmark custom RCA(preamp)->XLR(amp) interconnect cables (see previous post here).

I can confirm these cables have the recommended Hypex pinout (via visual inspection and continuity checks):
1) RCA tip to XLR pin 2 (using twisted pair wire)
2) RCA sleeve to XLR pin 3
3) RCA sleeve to XLR pin 1 via cable shield
4) XLR pins 1 & 3 not physically bridged at the XLR (reference potential only from source)
5) XLR case is floating and not tied to XLR pins 1 or 3 (avoids potential ground loop issues with load device)

And imo nice build overall (quality connectors, nice soldering etc.). Satisfied wth the purchase so far, now waiting on the Buckeye delivery :) .

UPDATE 8.5.2025:
Amp received, installed, and initial testing sounds awesome. Had a look under the hood, clean build and found no loose hardware, cables, etc. Benchmark cables working fine (no hiss, no hum etc. so far).

Thanks Buckeye !!!

Just wanted to put a PSA out there so no one reads into the current extended lead times for something they are not (such as thinking it is due to issues procuring parts, cost barriers, etc). It is merely because we are finally taking an official vacation for the first time in over four years:

For the first time in over four years, we are taking a short vacation here at Buckeye Amps. We will be gone for 10 days at the end of May/beginning of June. Once we return from vacation, we will work diligently to bring the build times back down to previous levels. Thank you everyone!

Very important to do, enjoy!

There has been so much back and forth with our government that I suspect 99% of people don't know exactly what is happening.
Exactly! People confuse tariffs with an increase in industry... In the US, you complain about 10%, in Brazil it's almost 100%. Any product imported from any country to Brazil pays tariffs to the government. In the case of the US, people have never experienced this and now think it's the companies, but in reality it's the government taking it from where it's easy... the consumer...

We have no delusions about who pockets your tariffs.
But it's unfair to US industry when your products come in here free of any tariffs.
What's good for the goose is good for the gander. ;)
We are not going to turn this into a tariff talk.
