Buchardt Audio SUB10

I received my SUB10 on Friday.
The packaging, build quality, and finish are superb!
Wireless setup via the Buchardt app is as easy and intuitive as one could hope for. Setting up high-pass filters for the A10s and low-pass filter for the sub, distance/phase, and room correction took about ten minutes (if that), and the sub integrates perfectly, drawing no audible attention to its presence.

As I had hoped for, relieving the A10s of the sub bass has provided an audible lift in clarity and headroom (conformation bias, perhaps). Bass is tighter and more precise, which off the line gives an impression of decreased bass output. This impression vanishes once the usual familiar tracks have been auditioned, though!
The SUB10 goes both deep and hard, which is amusingly displayed very forcefully by the room node that's in my shower cabin. It was obvious with just the A10s, and is unbearable with the SUB10. I will not EQ for my shower, though ...

With my a700 I had a dip at 30hz because of room. I added 2 sub10 and the difference is huge, system got lots more headroom and is playing louder than I care even thou I have a big room with 5m celling.

Received my sub10 late last week and it took my A10s to another level. The entire system has very deep low bass and exceptional mid bass. So much power and great soundstage with the addition of the Sub10. Wow!
Do you think of getting a second one or is one largely sufficient with your a10s?

In my medium sized room, one sub is absolutely enough. It is a very capable sub - much much more than its size suggests. There's definitely something special about that driver!
I can't shake the thought of getting another one to smooth out the in room response, though

Does it retrieve that last octave below 40Hz as mentioned by Buchardt ?

With the Buchardt room correction, does it makes the sub woofer placement easier and save you some time to find the best spot?

I'd say in the first place it's the cabinets design that makes placement easier.
But, yes, room correction (in conjunction with the distance setting within the App) helps a lot with regard to placement and integration.
Perfect placement is still beneficial, of course. But the feature set of the Sub can compensate a lot if your room doesn't allow the desired placement.

As with any other subwoofer, the best placement is probably found by placing it in your listening position, playing bass heavy music, crawling around the room and listening for the best placement.
And as with all other room correction systems, it does make sub-optimal placement less punishing.

I just placed the SUB10 against the front wall behind and slightly to the left of the right speaker, because that's where I wanted it to sit. Room corrected for the space around my couch, and it just works. There's obvious variations in bass response around the room, but that's unavoidable with any sub, any room correction system and any room.

Hello, is there any other measurements of the SUB10 yet ?
apparently in the meantime measurments have been uploaded.

94dB @ 20Hz
100dB @ 40Hz

Not my piece of cake. Distortion probably will be a compromise to make. Looks is on the "where to hide" side. But that’s just me. Integration into the Buchardt ecosystem seems perfect from what one can read.

With regard to pre-order Buchardt are spotless. They will deliver if they say so.
"Where to hide?" is likely the point.

Beg to differ. The competition is mostly priced about the same.
AGREE! And that you may not always get what you pay for BUT it's highly unlikely that you will get what you don't pay for.
And there appears to be a LOT to pay for with this one.
To get a quality setup, one does not have to pay the most BUT one cannot be too cheap, either.

Hi All, I’m curious if anyone has photos of the Sub10 driver or cabinet interior? Also, does anyone know if the driver uses a cast aluminum or stamped steel basket. Thanks in advance.
