Anyone has any experience with this particular model? Saw this while browsing for a mini amp to power the LS50 in my secondary room. Specs seem to be similiar as the Aiyima A07, albeit with a built in PSU which I personally like. Looks great to me too. Also read that the PSU is 40v when tested by someone, so I assume its a bit better than the A07 with a 24v/36v power brick? Ive included a link to the internals so people that actually know what to look out for may leave a comment if they see something out of place? (I know its not grounded). TIA.

Here are the specs listed by the manufacturer : https://vi.raptor.ebaydesc.com/ws/e...0&pm=1&ds=0&t=1590485236000&ver=0&cspheader=1

And here are the a few pics of the internals : https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/class-d/287470-tpa3255-diy-discussion-design-etc-216.html

The internals look solid and properly wired. Unless they made some boneheaded move wiring it up (which there is no reason to believe they did), it shouldn't measure any worse than the Aiyima, which measures nicely.

Looks like it has better venting than the Aiyima too. If Im not mistaken the internal PSU was measured at 40v, (amps ??), what type of power output would we be realistically looking at?

Completly different preamp section. Without measurements i would be very carefull with estimations.

I wonder if this are the same?
Yeah, he mentioned it in the video saying that its identical to the BRZ TPA 3255, even the internals.

What differences are there between the preamp section on the A07 and these?

Dont know exactly at least there are tone controlls. You know my experience with this chip amps is that some cooks(engineers) can even make good food like a tpa3255 with a little wrong ingriedients taste horrible.
Would like to see measured. But interesting little amp.

If the amp in your link sounds like the one I posted, you will be losing a lot of deep bass as a few people have reported that it reduces bass from around 100hz in flat eq mode. Weird.
That's why I would do away with the tone controls and stick with something simpler. The bass reduction most likely is a consequence of including these extra parts.

Possibly. Why Im looking at these is because they have a built in PSU, which is 36v/9a, which is as good or better than a A07 with a 36v/5a brick. Im sure as hell wont be buying a bulky 48v/10a PSU even if I get a A07, which can be very costly and fugly.

The one I shared also has a built in PSU

Thats where you can see that something is wrong with the preamp section, couse the 3255 does this not by himself.

BRZHiFi has been known to use the japanese JRC-NJW1194 volume control, which has built-in bass/treble controls...
I also likeD the built-in power supply idea (some w/a solid-core and oxygen free japanese copper WINDings) but caution to the WIND as audio plus an onboard AC/DC power supply can and do cause all sorts of (noise) problems even when designed correctly:
Take the example of the BRZHiFi PA-10 (ClassA/B power amp). Sounded so delicious (XLRs, 2x RCA inputs and BlueTooth5) that I had to buy one.
I had nothing but an annoying 60Hz hum when feeding it thru a Yamaha WXC-50 preAmp and a gamer's level desktop PC audio (3.5mm in/out, S/PDIF out, USB, etc.). WXC-50 is a 2-prong, and both BRZHiFi PA-10 and PC are 3-prong US power plugs, all 3 w/internal power supplies. Although I am really impressed by the design, features, price and the sound quality of the PA-10 but only after having to use a cheater (3-prong to 2-prong) plug on the PA-10 input IEC power cable. It took me many hours of troubleshooting before I could fully eradicate the @#$% 60Hz hum.
I can't be 100% certain that if the same BRZHiFi PA-10 was designed for a wallwart (=DC input); it would not have this 60Hz hum problem. Soon the PA-10 lid will come off in the hopes that there is a grounding jumper inside to float this 10kg boat... ;)

I saw a thread here (can't find it anymore) where somebody was complaining that it doesn't have a powerful bass. Measurements where made and it looks like the bass response acts like a high pass filter and is missing a lot of bass. I also saw a review on Aliexpress where somebody was complaining about the same thing.
So if i was you, i would rather look for this one, if you want a TPA3255 amp with tone controls and power supply built in:

You also might find it cheaper from another seller.

If have the version without built in power supply. It sounds awesome and works seamlessly.

What are the models of those 2 amps you linked? Would like to see if its available in my country

That's true... I'm not a big fan of the treble and bass adjustments. If I were to get a BRZHIFI amplifier, it would be something like this with only a volume knob:

Is there a reason to believe this design of tpa3255 will have better longevity or performance than aiyima07?
Note the brzhifi uses the old op amp of the aiyima, the 5532.

An old AB power amp of mine just went out making a "thunk" sound (while hopefully not damaging my speakers).

I decided to replace it with something from this era, with minimum investment at the moment.
For lack of other measurements, I'm considering aiyima07 but this brzhifi does look tempting. Anyone knows of any measurements for it?

Cheers

Just get the Aiyima. It is proven to be good.
