Bryston speakers have been around a while and they have what appears a good line up of products, yet there's so little out there about them. I could find nadda for reviews on YT, and a handful of old reviews via the rags, which were all very positive. Anyone ever heard any of the Bryston speakers? They are not outrageously priced, offer some unique 3 way standmounts and such.

It's similar to Mcintosh in that they're known far and wide for their amps, etc, you see/hear very little about their speakers. The difference is, when you do see anything about Mcintosh speakers, it's usually bad. Bryston however, there's just nothing, which is odd.

It could be that they haven't done much marketing or that they don't offer anything compared to other speaker companies on paper. I didn't know about this "Bryston" company until just now so there's an example of bad marketing.

Axiom was the company behind their initial offerings, not sure about now .

I don't know how one could be in audio and not know about Bryston amps, but OK.

Bryston's seriousness is measured by the 20-year warranty on their electronics.

One of various reasons I'd like to hear their speaker offerings.

A generally well regarded company no? That one is a dead ringer for the Bryston "Classic" line:

Bryston has another line now that looks interesting and there's not that many good 3 way standmounts out there:

I've never had an issue with their products. I wish they would have partnered with Paradigm instead but that's neither here nor there now.

Colquhoun Audio Laboratories owns major interests in Axiom, Bryston and Magnum-DynaLab.

I hate to break it to you, but as a Gen Z, I have absolutely zero (0) reason to be interested in amps. Why spend big buck$ on an amp + cable + speakers when I could get better performance with an active DSP speaker for much less? I don't have a crystal ball, but I predict that although companies like Bryston might make great products, failing to address changing market preferences is going to be like Harley Davidson 2.0 where you have something that exists for the super niche (ex: L'Acoustics high power PA amps) or a customer base that's literally withering away.

I hate to break it to you but they offer active speakers and were early on working with active X overs too. Far as I'm aware, their amps etc continue to enjoy a strong following as they should.

I noticed that in the catalog! But the "Online Shopping" link on their site is broken and none of their online dealers actually offer these active speakers, so competing in the "cheap active DSP" market doesn't appear to be on the table.

Their site is terrible. I guess biz is so good they don't need to put any effort into the web site? Hard to tell.

Found one vid that at least give some idea of what Bryston is doing speaker wise now:

Well, the SP vs LW looks very good. So that's encouraging.

The first speaker I ever reviewed was a 3-way standmount from Bryston, Mini A.

One thing I found really interesting about their design was that the midrange is effectively a "filler" driver - it plays at a very low level and its role seems to be to fill in the horizontal off-axis dispersion disruption that plagues most 7" 2-way speakers with flat waveguides for their tweeters.

I didn't know they did speakers. It turns out they only sell the electronics in the UK.

Who only sells electronics in the UK?
Colquhoun Audio Laboratories is Axiom Audio. They are a Canadian company as are Bryston and Magnum-DynaLab.
They have made Bryston's speakers for years prior to their acquiring control of Bryston.
Axiom is a direct sale company while Bryston is sold through retail channels around the world.
Axiom's website is terrible.
