I would suggest, they are by that very act operating at a low intelligence, not matter what degrees they have or high their measured IQ. The "ego" you mention, it can be quite a dumbbell, especially the oversized, hungry kind - anyone prey to it is bound to stray from the path of logic and wisdom. Though, it seems to me, we all do that on occasion. To deny it is probably the ego having a festive meal...
Of course we are all deluded, to some extent, into thinking the world as our mind projects it, ourselves with that ego thing included, is real...
BTW, back to topic, aren't we lucky to have this illusory world and transitory life blessed by boXem making really fine, SOTA yet affordable amps ? ;)

Audiophools will say that you must have tin ears and the holographic soundstage is very different, as well as the sparkle in the top, the lush midrange and the oomph in the bass (of the more expensive amplifier, of course). But they will also shy away from any offered blind listening test, as they are too stressfull and you need months to appreciate the differences.... Also, a cheap 10k speaker set up is simply not 'resolving' enough...
That's the point : blind testing

How to get some audiophiles participate to blind listening?

When Wil Amir organise a blind testing between McIntosh or accuphase amps Vs fois mono, or the same between 200buck dacs vs 10000 Buck dacs?

€1,426.97 incl. VAT and shipping to Austria
€1,160 (USD $1,350)

Ehm, why is something built in Europe, cheaper to purchase in US than in another European country??, not even that far from it's origin of fabrication!

Value Addded Tax, the European version of a sales tax, at about 20% in most EU countries. It is not levied on exports.

I have noticed the same with other recommendations coming from EU (e.g. Apollon) in the past..
Perhaps it would be helpful if @amirm and other reviewers stated in their future reviews that "VAT (is) not included". I am sure quite a few of the audiosciencereviewers (and -readers) can buy their gear excl. VAT, but for the mass aka general consumer, that additional info would be extremely helpful, IMO... 20 % plus - or whatever, everybody knows their own VAT - can be a significant amount for the avarage Joe.

I am not schooled enough to know who has to pay, how much, and if VAT is included. Those of you who know are welcome to post that so others know.

Amen, brother!

Most of the Purifi versions made in Europe juggle around the same price of 1400~1600 euro.
I paid 1500 euro for my Audiophonics version. Tho there is a smaller form factor version with the same modules for a slightly lower price as well, similar to the form factor of the one in this review.

Either how very nice modules. I've had mine for about 2 months now and it's performing outstanding.
Modules barely get hot even now mid summer after prologned use. The AVR gets hotter when it's not even powering the front speakers.
Plenty of clean power in these modules as well. I'm confident these type of power amps (together with hypes versions) will suffice for 95% of the people.

Is that for the 0.001% of people that actually bother with separates? :)

Anyone know how the USA crazy tariffs will impact price of Boxem A 4216/E2 if ordered for USA delivery?
Cost is 1,206.61 euro for the amp and shipping to my city in the Midwest. Delivery within 7 days. No tariffs shown or acknowledged at purchase.

My guess is you may get a 15% DHL bill plus customs processing fees. Did you select DHL as the shipper?
Keep us informed. It's the only thing holding me back. :D

That is because the seller is not responsible for the tariffs. You (as importer) are.
