Experience of the older 805 versions leads me to recommend setting them high, maybe even with tweeter slightly above ear level. Certainly the earlier versions' tweeters 'separated out' from the midrange if you stood up, so deep was the suckout caused above axis.

I wonder if this is why PMC have a similar lifted hf in their domestic models? Maybe if they didn't, they'd be regarded as dull. All a market I'm now remote from, but I suspect survival in a niche market has trends to follow?

Measurements of the 801 D4 by the German magazine "stereo", FWIW: FR limited to 30Hz .. 20 kHz red = on axis, blue = 30 degree horizontal off axis Not very flat. And also different from previous versions. So we see that they don't have really a house curve target, each iteration seems kind...
