Hi,
I'm looking for a recommendations on a new bookshelf speakers to buy for a medium sized living room to use with the TV.
I've used Polk XT15 in the past and currently not using any.
I have an old Pioneer VSX-524 receiver that I'm planning to use with the speakers.
these are the speakers that available locally and within my budget:

Polk Audio XT20 - 364$
Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 - 485$
Monitor Audi Bronze 50 - 539$
Monitor Audio Bronze 100 - 593$
Wharfedale Diamond 12.2 - 620$
Kef Q150 - 674$
Polk Reserve R100 - 682$

I live in the Middle East and i know the local prices are higher here then MSRP.
at the moment i don't plan to buy a subwoofer due to lack of place for it but it's an option in the future.
sorry for my English and thanks ahead :)

I think any of the last 3 are good options (AFAIK). Is there any chance for you to hear them in person?

I have a bunch of new and old KEFs, inc the Q150 and Q350.

Q150 is fine for a TV system, but seriously if you can move up to the Q350s, I would highly recommend it. It could work without a sub much more convincingly, but when/if you add one, you have a full fledged system.

I use my Q350 as my main speakers main system, even though I have a bunch of other bigger ones. They are perched atop two decent subwoofers (as stands, lol) They soak up a decent amount of power from (now) a MC 252 MP Nord amp, previously a Schiit Vidar and a few similar AB amps.

I will try to find a place that have them in store to listen to.
the Kef's Q350 is about 885$ for a pair. If it's a big difference in sound then i am able to stretch my budget further to get them :D
I could also get the Audio Monitor Bronze 100 for 540$ after discount.
Idoes my old receiver even have enough power to handle the Q350 or Bronze 100?

It should be enough if you are not going very loud. I second the KEF Q350, buuut the wharfedale 12.2 is also one to look out for. You can't do wrong with either.

Here is a pair of Wharfedale 12.1 for 218€ the pair:
They may ship to your country for a price.

If i would want to send a pair of those to, say, Pakistan, it would cost 110€ with DHL.
We are looking at 328€, of which you can get 19% VAT back.
Plus whatever your import costs and credit card fees are.

Maybe importing the speakers yourself is an alternative.

There's quite a price difference between Q350 and 12.2 so depends if the difference in price worth it over the 12.2 or not.
unfortunately i didn't find a place that have any on display

Unfortunately they do not send to my address.
I've checked some sites but importing myself cost the same or more unfortunately.
I found the 12.2 "Used Like New" from amazon but the difference is negligible and not worth the hassle.

I would say it is only slightly better because of its coaxial design, and definitely not 300 dollars better.

So I'd say - get the wharfedales, put on some nice music, and enjoy!!
