@Wolf and @Rick Sykora I thought you guys might know.

I'm wanting to build a Bluetooth speaker for fun, but it would be really nice if there was a way to build a stereo pair of wireless speakers.

In other words, you open your phone to pair the speakers to Bluetooth, and you see one device, which is in actuality two separate speakers.

Sonos can do this with multiple speakers of course, and I'm sure other wireless speakers do the same, but I'm not able to find a Bluetooth interface board that can do this.

Any advice on how to approach this?

Buy a defective TWS IEM off eBay, like a pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds, and repurpose their PCBs.
Here's a DIY speaker project on YouTube doing just that:

Thanks, it looks like 'tws' is the feature I'm looking for

What I want, ideally, is a powerful 3-4 channel amp WITH dsp but without bluetooth, so I can use a tws board. I'm not building passive crossovers in this weather.

Do you mean one 3-4 channel amp per speaker? In that case you could use the Wondom JAB4 or JAB5

You could always mount the Amp in one channel, and pigtail the second w Speakons.

PE sells a number of stereo amp boards with integrated bluetooth. Have not used but have seen some other DIY speakers use. Ofc, as Wolf said, would mean wiring over to one of the stereo pair.

I used the KAB230V2 for my OSFA, but would not call it really clean due to the constant squeal. The product may have been fixed since then, but i would not know.

I’ve done this with two different approaches. 1. Take a look at the Arylic set of diy amplifiers. They can all be set to be multi room or left / right pairs just like Sonos. 2. I’ve used the TinySine boards which you can pair as true wireless stereo. Both work well but Arylic is a little easier to use
