Is this the latest spec. ?

How good is the SQ? (and... is there a way some manf. can make the SQ worse by choice of chip sets, conversion, etc.?)

So both Bluetooth 4.2 and 5 can handle the highest quality wireless audio available, and with plenty of room to spare. This means that unless a higher-quality codec is developed, it doesn't matter how much better or faster the Bluetooth versions get: Your music isn't going to sound any better!

5.0 has better range and bandwith vs 4.2, and most new devices are integrating 5.0 . You probably will have better connectivity and easier time pairing in areas with a lot of BT devices (like an office), but with most applications there won't be much of a difference since both handle all of the audio codecs.
