yes both my iPhone and iPad. i now connected it to my rme adi2 dac fs and use the rme for controlling volume (Node Icon set at full volume on the app). i hope bluesound will fix the volume inconsistency issue soon :-(

Looks like Fiio's S15 is also around the corner since marketing pages are up and price announced at $999

On paper, having an eARC with control using TV remote gives bluesound the upper hand for my use case. Not heard anything about S15 being able to do same (their K19 does not).

S15 however do have AES/EBU out and PEQ (not sure if it works for digital aes/ebu out). Does Node ICON have a PEQ? Not seeing on their data sheet.

Bluesound also has DIRAC live support, or atleast suggests it's coming soon. And does seem to have a smaller footprint.

Bluesound does not have LDAC support, which is a shame. Us Google pixel users don't have newer aptX codecs like LL and adaptive.

I have both still, Eversolo DMP-A 8 and BLUESOUND Icon. DMP-A8 has 6” touch screen, and Icon 5” non touch screen. I never use touch screen, as viewing is good enough.

I’m very busy, near Christmas now. I list DMP-A8 on CAM, when things slow down a bit.

I control everything from APP on my IPhone for Eversolo A8 and Icon. Sitting 8 ft away from streamer, I use only iPhone to control. iPhone or iPad controlling is great.

Really, who gets up to touch screen and then go sit down. Really? I doubt many do, probably almost none.

BLUESOUND put everything possible for best sonic sound, at great price. I understand Eversolo A6 has touch screen. Bottom line, Bluesound Icon sounds better than A6 and A8, hands down. I choose best sonic sound for the many every time.

Buy Icon, you’ll be very happy with the incredible sound.

I'll prompt you again while you still have both devices. How about at least trying a proper level matched blind test as recommended in these parts? Nothing to lose, after all.

If you aren't up to the task, fair enough.

Since you prefer the Icon sighted, that's a good choice for you, and enjoy it: but be aware your recommendation won't carry weight with most of the regulars here, and there will be pushback if you keep making this kind of generalised claim without actual evidence.
