Bluesound Node2i + Schiit Modi3+ = POP!

Seems the Schiit Modi3+ when used with the Bluesound Node2i will deliver a relatively loud pop when changing songs if the streaming bit/hz changes. This is too bad because the Node2i playing through a good outboard DAC sounds amazing.

Have others used the Topping or other relatively inexpensive DACs with the Node2i and not hearing this POP?

I am using a Node2i connected to a Modius coaxial digital and I am not getting pops. I have also used a Topping E30 with no pops.
Do you have the Audio clock trim turned off in the Bluesound App control panel?
Do you have MQA external DAC off also?

Doesn't help. Schiit engineers admitted that in the Modi3 this was an issue. Thank goodness the Node2i internal DAC is not too bad until I decide on another DAC.
