Talking of Canned Heat, can thoroughly recommend this - picked it up from the special's rack at the newsagent - excellent move!

Brilliant show off album for the system ...

This video is not available - Frank. So I fixed it by its exactly the same but from a different codec (11 characters).

It is Canned Heat; I wasn't familiar with that one. I think I have only one album or two from Canned Heat, that's all.

Well, it's year 2000, and lineups change, etc. Fantastic groove throughout the album, recorded juuust right - it's a favourite of Bev's!

Thanks for adding the extra link - there's no problem with the first one from where I am.

Yeah sometime some videos cannot play in some countries, but it's easily fixable from another entry.
And the one you posted didn't want to play here. No big deal.

* Prince music is only avail on Tidal, Neil Young is Canadian, some music videos they removed the audio, some don't play everywhere in the world, China has banned the movie Deadpool, all bunch of censure and copyright issues, and from one country, one continent to the next the laws, the rules, the philosophies, the music, the ... vary. The drums they beat to different rhythms...

We live in a world as diversified as the nature surrounding us; various species of animals, habitats, strong ones, survival, the weak got eaten alive by the jungle's king.
Our planet is a very small little dot in the universe. No one can see it but us living on it, but still, man is blind and has his priorities all upside down in its set of values.
None we can do, it's life and there are powers we can't fight. No need for me to mention...we know them.

We're cool here, inside a music forum...we ain't hurting anyone and neither our planet.
Music is the messenger of messages that come from open eyes, ears, the heart, the spirit, the mind, the soul and all the ups and downs of life.
And the Blues is certainly the heartbroken ones, and everyone else. /// The love, the life and the blues.

She's great!

Going to see her in November, anyone else seen her live?

Yeah I've seen Beth Hart live once, nice smaller venue sort of like a dinner theater, where you go eat and tables are right up next to the stage; we were sitting <10 feet away from her piano. She's a terrific singer, love her solo stuff and her multiple albums/concerts with Joe Bonamassa. She does a hell of a live show too, really gets into it. Even though we learned - after the concert was over - that she was fighting off bronchitis! Couldn't tell from her performance.

This was 2013. Taken from my seat; sorry for the crappy quality, it was dark and I only had my little cheapo p&s camera with me.

She looks like she's on death's door in that last video.

Tim

Yeah from what I gather she really had a rough patch, but has cleaned herself up in recent years. She looked great when I saw her, and in the videos I've got of her. Definitely recommend this one:

We're getting a little off track here, not exactly blues... but definitely "bluesy" rock. Beth does do some Etta James type stuff, especially on the album "Don't Explain" by her and Joe.

1999 - She was playing in Europe, bars and joints all over. That video was in Germany.
There are not much news of her earlier years (drugs, jail, ...); but yeah, from that last video you can tell how much road she had traveled. But the little news there is; it makes all total sense. She's a survivor, and she had the right people around her.

She is as genuine as it can be. The power of her voice and the power of weight to the words she sing and the power of eye contact with the audience.
Top artist Blues female musician singer today, on this Friday 13, May 2016.

There is nothing surprising in having several videos of her and Joe in this Blues thread; they are among the top best Blues artists living on the planet today.

Frank wasn't familiar with her; and I wanted to give him the opportunity of familiarization because of that Blues power coming from her.
She is the type of person I love deeply because I feel her all over me; body, soul and spirit.
I'm not a Facebook guy, but her Facebook page is nice...I like.

Life is very short, and every day I want to be closer to what makes me genuinely vibrates inside. The infinity has no limitation, no predestination, no commitment, no preconditioning, no destination, not even a home with a direction; it's there to grab in the moment, and that moment is up to us to make it last with each day, each change, each metamorphosis. Simply put, we adapt to vibes in the minute by minute we live on. If Blues is not that then what is it...

____________

Janis Joplin, Amy Winehouse; there was something missing in their life....I think.
Both these young ladies could sing the Blues too, with very powerful voices and energy.
Sad; that they went so very very young.

We cannot put ourselves inside another person, or try to understand by analyzing and criticizing and judging. Only inside each person there is an artist interacting with their surrounding world. And that world is not the same for two people.
We love when we play, nous sommes du soleil - Yes.

Good morning Paul,

No one is getting off topic here, not in my threads, ever. Everything is related.
Besides, Joe and Beth are two of the most Blues artists as they come.

The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, many of the greatest world's music bands were highly influenced by the Blues musicians/singers and sinners.

So, in my threads (music, films, the Blues, Classical, Jazz, live, any world's subjects; happiness, heart, nature, space, humanity, families, rich, poor, science, mathematics, geometry, architecture, painting, creativity, philosophy, photography, biology, chemistry, language translation/communication, social values, development of intellect and human and natural resources, ecology, productivity, children and adult education, knowledge of all life's matters...) nothing ever is off topic. ...Not in my threads, no sir. This is free discussion, advancement in all directions...it just happened that Blues music is in the thread's title.
I simply forgot to put Joe, Beth, Sarah, Muddy, the Stones, the Beatles, Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, Harry, Janis, Ian, Etta, John Lee, Stevie Ray, Louis, Giuseppe, Edgar, Robert, Buddy, Albert, Aretha, Blues Brothers, Elmore, Magic, Johnny, Jimmy, Mississippi, Jeff, Slim, Clarence, Yes, Blind, Luther, Koko, James, Hubert, Memphis, Junior, Charlie, Eric, Jimi, Freddie, T-Bone, Billie, Son, Ray, Lightnin', Willie, Little, Sonny, Huddie, Bessie, Skip, Taj, Otis, John, Lonnie, Bobby, Big Mama, Big Joe, BB, Duane, Peter, R.L., Ma, Rory, Hound Dog, Fleetwood Mac, Solomon, Al, J.B., Mamie, Charles, Tampa, Ry, Dinah, Brownie, Gregg, Keb', Bukka, Reverend, W.C., Clarence, Tina, Luther, Shemekia, ...and everyone/everything else in life, love & the blues.

No sir Paul, Joe and Beth are not off topic in this Blues music thread. None is off topic, not in all or any of my threads from all over the Internet and Life.
I would never slow down the road to universal discussion and knowledge. ...Never ever; because that's not what I learned @ school from the masters.

Tom Waits is welcome, Neil Young is welcome, Ian Anderson is welcome, Jon Anderson is welcome, Van Morrison is welcome, Harry Manx is welcome, Billie Holiday is welcome, Fleetwood Mac is welcome, Yes is welcome, The Rolling Stones is welcome, Charlie Patton, Charlie Musselwhite, Junior Wells, Buddy Guy, James Cotton, James Brown, Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, ...everyone is welcome...all is Blues.

I can moderate my own threads, thank you. :) ...I'm old enough, thank you. :) ...I have a good grip, a good group, a good band, with good ideas, on what is and is not, thank you. Have we all? :)

Look @ any of all my threads all over the WWW (World Wide Web), and Life is always the main topic. Be it Blues, Movies, Music of any genre and style, Audio gear, Video gear, Loudspeakers, Pictures, Photographs, Videos, Humor, Technical matters, Human nature, Financial advising, Spiritual values, Science of space, Planet Earth, the five Elements, the five Senses, Friday the thirteen, ...all that Jazz.

You gotta love the Blues, you gotta love Life.
