Physical space in the living room, the aesthetic, possibly the aspect of taking noise-sensitive neighbors into account.I just wanna have it keep up with the main speakers
Wiim room fit adjust the bass so it's flatter as someone wrote it's better at room correction then speaker correction
It's not at all hard to find something loud and inexpensive Behringer DR18SUB 18" 30hz, peak 2400 watt 129db 412-413 euros new, but downscale it to a 10" hifi subwoofer stil with power is hard to find, speedwoofer 10e is just one.
Im not shure about shipping and total price from uk if the take it's +20 euros handling fee and 25% vat + what ever shipping might be
Something like this we don't have in europe (the 8" version is $140)

and the size of the wallet in relation to what you want, wish, need for bass or let's say bass output/SPL (with an acceptable level of distortion).
Subwoofer is about being able to pump air. The more air that is pumped the more bass. The larger the speaker driver, the larger the surface area that pumps air. For example, two 8 inch drivers have less surface area than a 12 inch driver. An 18 inch driver has more surface area than two 12 inch and so on.
At lower volumes with a big ass sub, given that it is a good speaker subwoofer driver in a well-constructed box, lower distortion than in a smaller sub. The large subwoofer works easier so to speak.

What is this? Ultra-low frequency Rotary Subwoofer
I've never heard of. Seems exciting. Anyone know anything more about it? Is it possible to get it for Hifi? Or? I have no idea.
So for frequencies in if the audible range above 19 Hz? But how to solve it? What would you gain from that? That engine was not completely noise-free either.

A physically small subwoofer, with a speaker driver that has good stroke/x-max, then a lot of amp power is needed. Especially if it is a sealed box.

Edit:
Speaking of neighbors. At the summer cottage, no neighbors to consider, there I have two 12 inch subwoofers. Could easily imagine bigger subs, or more of them (I'll keep an eye out for that). In my apartment in the city. considering neighbors, why not a small Audio Pro Addon 8 inch sub.
Plus good headphones
