An interesting conversation with a psychologist and lawyer. Are you, or were you being blind sided? ;)

Summary: This is a recording between a psychologist and lawyer about the power of peer pressure and bias within groups, such as the Hi-Fi community, which it is aimed at. And how people have agenders and can be possibly influencing people by spreading misinformation on things that don’t actually exists based on made up information. A bit like ASR has accomplished since its inception.

Can you add a short summary of the video please - it's forum policy, and it's really helpful.
It also helps if you offer your own take, or a question.

Please provide a summary of the video;

No problem will add. It's certainly in the interest of this forum and community, for sure.

He has quite a few interesting discussions/podcasts/videos regarding the audio world/scene, worth a deeper dive for those interested in such matters

We live in a very fortune and misfortunate world today in many ways. There is more information and the availability of information is far more prevalent, but as a side note information can be abused and still do the damage, if you can call it damage, to people indirectly.

But with that there has become the others, or out groups, which are there to counterargument what the actual facts are and can put better definitions in order for people to deal with misinformation. ASR has been one example of that.

How far does bad information or unawareness have on individuals. Can it be actually that bad. I suppose it's down to the content and the exact cause and effect. And there will always be outliers who get hit worse than others.

Not sure ‘Hi-Fi buying’ a hobby would be included in a conversation about structural violence but advertising /marketing in general isn’t always a healthy outcome for people who have been heavily influenced by it.

He's a lawyer anyway and should know his rights. I hope his video doesn't get taken down for slander or anything. I mean, what is he calling out anyway. Only Hi-Fi BS :)
