beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - no sound?

They claim that its tested. they are very big , a lot of sales, a lot of feedbacks, 99% positive. yeah but it appears in windows sound settings when i plug headset as realtek, dead headphone would not appear right?
dead headphones would be recognized by your Realtek computer audio.

The black wire that is clipped-off is not used (and why it is cut so it doesn't float around freely in the cup).
This is the wire going from the right side to the left side.
That is not broken as only the red and white wires are used and the headband cable is 3-wire.

Put the red lead of the meter into the connector on the driver (where the red wire goes) and the black lead of the meter to the white lead into the connector.
Make sure the pins of the meter leads make contact with the metal inside the connector.

Also see how the left side is connected.

But it looks like it should not be that way. wire cut, is like someone did bad fixing, cut wire and left it like that. well, its clearly broken so i dont see any other problem than that cut wire. you 100% sure that it suppose to be like that?

Yes.

Measure the drivers themself.
The cable between the 2 cups only needs 2 wires and is why they cut off one so it does not sit 'loose' in the cup.

The cable connected from the mini XLR has 3 wires, black, red and white.
They plug in one of the connectors.
The other cable has white and red and the black one is cut away.

Make sure the plugs go in the right sockets. When they are in the wrong position it won't work (properly).
