best way to get files onto an Eversolo DMP-A6's SSD?

Hi. I have a shiny new Eversolo DMP-A6. Setting it up with Tidal has been fun. I'm enjoying music in a way I haven't for years. I have a library on my Mac of mp3's and m4a's. What's the best method for getting these from ~/Music onto the Eversolo's SSD? I guess the goal is to preserve both the folder structure, and the metadata, artist, title, album cover etc.

I think there are three methods:

1. via a USB device - thumb-drive or external SSD.
2. via SMB/NFS if I share my Mac's file system on the LAN
3. direct connection.

All of the instructions I've found seem to focus on transferring a handful of tracks. Of course I have ~8000 tracks and the methods I've seen look like they'd be horribly clumsy for this use case. Clearly (clearly!!!) there must be a good way to do this...

Mine is not connected by LAN, so for the initial (very large) file transfer, I used one of these:

Just mount it via SMB, and use rsync to copy over files and keep it in sync with your local copy. It will also just copy new files, and can resume where you left off previously. You can just run it periodically to keep the SSD in sync.

thanks. I do have such an enclosure in a cupboard. Just to be clear, did you use the drive in the enclosure plugged into the Eversolo and then copied across to the E's SSD? Or did you format the SSD on the E, remove it and put it in the enclosure, plug that into your computer, copy the files and then move the SSD back into the Eversolo?
