Best HiFi stereo system for family use and connect with TV

Hi Guys,
I think I found the most family friendly HiFi stereo system setup which can also connect to TV. Basically it is Bluesound Node Icon with additional remote and poweramp with 12v trigger, but if you want more details check my video on Youtube:

But really, if we are talking "Best HiFi stereo system for family use and connect with TV", then some kind of all-in-one/add
-speakers is the way to go. Several to choose from, without all the clutter.

Which all in one you would recommend with such functionality, good internal dac and without touchscreen/volume knob that kids would not be playing with it all the time?

P.S. it is not advert, i would still recommend more Wiim Ultra if you don’t have small kids.

If you would check the video, i was talking about Wiim Ultra, it was very nice user interface for me, but main problem is touchscreen with which kids are constantly playing. Also you can feel the difference in dac quality, but for sure it is not that big as price difference from Icon.

There is no volume control knob in my settup, this is one of main advantages. Wiim Amp Pro is even worse dac than Ultra and 60W per channel for sure not for any speakers, especially mine Dovedale. And it has volume knob..

The DACs in all these boxes are ES903x.

What amp/power you want is up to you and your speakers. When I read "family friendly" and see a $1.2k streamer and a poweramp my first thought is just "one box too many, could all be half the prize".

But people with kids might agree on the usability assessment with you.

Sorry, I was sure it had worse dac, probably you are correct.

But yeah, I was thinking quite long what to use when kids appeared in my family and the beauty of poweramp (not all) that it has no buttons in the front panel.

If Icon is out of the budget, you can probably go with Bluesound Node, just would be worse dac and no screen at all.

And maybe Eversolo, Fosi, Marantz, NAD and more all have products (maybe not all are all-in-ones).

I'd be careful saying "worse DAC" for products which you may not have A-B tested.

I got a CA product (Evo 75) which is quite old now, but you can do far better for the money today.

I think all your mentioned have either touchscreens or volume knobs which is nighmare with small kids. Or not user friendly like Eversolo which doesn't even have presets to turn on and start playing what you want with one button (no1 factor for my wife). Or don’t have HDMI Arc, but maybe you don’t need to connect tv, then ok. Let me know any exact model if Im wrong.

I A-B tested Wiim Ultra with Icon before selling it, was easy to do that because they have diferent cables - RCA and XLR.

Wait till they discover speakers are fun and very squishy when you poke toys into them. Ask me how I know.
All I can say is buy cheap kit that you don't care about for a few years.

Well it works for me and my family, so wanted to share this experience. And it is high end quality, not some cheap kit. Doesn’t even matter if it is cheap if kids will turn it on or start messing with it when you don’t want that, it’s more about practicality, not about destroying equipment.

Agree. My kids and their friends ruined several Dynaudio D28 tweeters by pushing the domes in. It seems little fingers can't avoid poking just to see what happens.
