What are the best measurement led ‘budget’ speakers?
I am asked occasionally , I have gad KEF’s LS50 they aren’t expensive, small Genelecs.
What sort of figure would you consider budget
I suppose I am looking for the Topping dacs. of the speaker world.
Thanks
Keith

Wharfedale 12.1

Wharfedale 12.1 definitely qualify in terms of budget and they also measure pretty well , which models are you thinking of @staticV3 ?

I'm not listing every great speaker at a price that some person may consider budget. That's way too many :)

Tell me your concrete budget and country and I'll see what I can find.

I was hoping you would do all the work for me!
What I am looking for is a list of r inexpensive speakers that measure really well, I don’t think we can hope for high spls or extended bass at this price point.
Genelec for example and KEF ( of the ones I have heard) their smaller speakers sound pretty much identical to their larger speakers except for bass and loudness.

I heard the predecessor to the Diamond 12.1 or 12.2 (I think they were 220's) and liked them a lot. It seems this is further refined in the current series. Got to say I love the bargain (£25) 7.2SE's currently in the second rig - even if the native balance is possibly slightly 'U' shaped ;) Fine for low level listening though.

Problem here is that your »price point« remains unclear.
I suppose I am looking for loudspeaker equivalents to the excellent yet relatively inexpensive electronics now available.
I realise loudspeakers are never going to be as inexpensive.
Do if you had to recommend a budget priced ‘starter’ system Wiim streamer decent power amp and then a pair of speakers.
Ascilab aren’t released yet over here, but their C5B retails at around $1k.

Bookshelf or Standing? $400 USA price point?

Don’t mind, they just must measure decently .

That is comprehensive, can we add more European designs to that list?
KEF, Elac,Wharfdale I see there.

Personally, by measurements only and having never heard it, I am a fan of the Kali LP-6v2. It is a killer combination of linearity, bass extension, low price and no hiss. IMO it's not worth paying less than that.

2 x 180 pounds at Thomann to UK.
