Would love to see this thread reset for items issued after 1/1/2025. Especially looking for the best budget dynamic driver issue of 2025...

For those who like a more relaxed presentation the GK Kunten is an incredible value at $15 but it can be found as low as $4-5, one hell of a bang for your buck.

Hey, if I do not recall wrong , you have the Zenith......how do they compare ?

I'm shocked by how good this IEM sounds! Truly unexpected and for the past few days I haven’t been using anything else.
It’s frighteningly close to the Dita Perpetua which costs €3000

Hey, if I do not recall wrong , you have the Zenith......how do they compare ?

I have to go by memory, I broke my Zenith a month or two ago, when the weather changed I started to get condensation issues, it usually clears fast but this one time some imbalance persisted and in frustration instead of cleaning the filter I just spray both IEMs with isopropil alcohol and I think it did something to the driver (stiffen the suspension?), bass and mid bass went up considerably (it became quite boomy), vocals became way too warm and also messed with the sensitivity, I had to give it more volume to achieve my usual listening level (from 20% to around 30%), that or is a QC issue but I don't think so (too much change in just a few months plus no other reports have come out).
I didn't realized the Zenith went bad until the Kunten arrived and started comparing, I've been using the Zero:2 since the condensation issues started.

So going by memory and comparing it to the same IEMs I compared the Zenith, they are similar sounding but I think the Kunten has a bit more upper-treble and a bit more sub-bass, it sounds more spacious (this might be in my mind because the weight difference) and clear and maybe vocals are a bit more forward but I cannot be really sure, (I'm thinking of ordering another Zenith just out of curiosity) but I Know I got the same first impression as the Zenith, it sounds very well balanced, clean and spacious, I like it a lot.

Anyone here ever tried the white Kinera Wyvern Celest?

I’ve tried quite a lot of gear: Truthear Hexa, Simgot EW300, Ziigat Odyssey V2, Juzear Defiant, Ziigat Crescent, Crinear Daybreak, Truthear Pure, Ziigat Lush, Sennheiser HD600, Hifiman HE400se, and lastly the Mangird Tea 2.

With almost all of them, everything except the Mangird Tea 2 and the White Wyvern Celest, I keep hearing the same issue in the treble. It’s not that they’re bright. Even sets that are generally considered neutral or on the darker, more relaxed side still sound rough, grainy, and unnatural to me. There’s a texture in the treble that just doesn’t sound right, regardless of the tuning.

I honestly had zero expectations when I first tried the white Wyvern Celest. I fully expected another local audiophile KZ-shrill hype type of IEM. But it wasn’t like that at all. To my ears, it’s actually quite close to the Mangird Tea 2, which I enjoy, just with more forward vocals, or at least more presence in that range.

That forwardness does make the soundstage feel a bit smaller, but I don’t really see it as a downside. One of my issues with the Mangird Tea 2, aside from the price, is its presentation anyway, so this trade-off feels reasonable.

At this point, I’m not sure if my ears are just extremely sensitive to that kind of treble texture, or if people are seriously sleeping on the white Kinera Wyvern Celest.

For what you’re getting at around USD 14 in the local market, this is honestly kind of a revelation for me.
