Hello - Just getting turned on to Afrobeat and totally digging the vibe and great music. figured i'd ask what are some bands and albums that you think i should listen to?

Fela Kuti is the creator of the genre. Anything by his various band is required listening.

Tony Allen was his drummer and has quite a few albums worth listening to

His son Femi Kuti has two great albums (first two), and few other good to very good albums

Antibalas is a great place to start for semi-curre not artists.
