You mean the feed-forward error correction?I may be mistaken it looks like this highly praised amp uses the same technology as the old Soundcrafsmen and some Carver amps.
Does it measure anywhere as well as the AHB2?Good, then I can save lots of money I have seen some soundcrafsmen for sale for $200.
As in: it uses transistors, resistors, capacitors, diodes, etc…?I may be mistaken it looks like this highly praised amp uses the same technology as the old Soundcrafsmen and some Carver amps.
Can you at least tell us what you're talking about? So far it's quite vague.I may be mistaken it looks like this highly praised amp uses the same technology as the old Soundcrafsmen and some Carver amps.
First, I agree. John did a great job. But what is the OP on about? The Benchmark AHB-2 is not your Grandpa's dusty old Carver or Soundcraftsmen.
It is a thoroughly modern, beautifully designed and USA built, masterpiece of performance. Unless you need more power (buy 2), it really is an end game amp.
uses the same technology

True, but so far I suspect voodooless has the right of it.This explains the AHB2 design. It's a lot more than the feed-forward error correction.

What he's basically saying, if I'm reading between the lines correctly, is that the old school IC amps are just as good as the AHB2. We both know better, but it is an interesting post.First, I agree. John did a great job. But what is the OP on about?
There weren't many lines to read between. But if he's happy: great! What he's basically saying, if I'm reading between the lines correctly, is that the old school IC amps are just as good as the AHB2. We both know better, but it is an interesting post.
Take a look at the above pic. Now, anyone out there, does this look like a Soundcraftsman or Carver? Go ahead, I'll wait....There weren't many lines to read between. But if he's happy: great!
I have to think our legs were simply being pulled. OP has gone very silent.Take a look at the above pic. Now, anyone out there, does this look like a Soundcraftsman or Carver? Go ahead, I'll wait....
Better that wisdom comes late than not at all.OP has gone very silent.
