HELP!!!

I hope I haven't bought a doorstop.
Among other things, I use a Digitech 2101 Guitar Preamp-Processor and used to have a Digitech MEQ Mono 28 MIDI controlled Equaliser...It worked perfectly.
I would make EQ adjustments, hit the save button and job done...it had an LED for each frequency which you could see for miles and had the same patch number corresponding to my 2101 patch...Then it failed...properly...

Long story short, I just purchased the Behringer DEQ2496 Pro expecting it do do the same job...and more...But I don't need more...All I want is to run it exactly the same way as the Mono 28.. Connect the MIDI out to the MIDI in.....dual XLR from the 2101 to the Pro and off to the mixing desk....trouble is... I can't for the life of me work out how to make it do that.

I have made EQ curves for a couple of sounds...stored and named them then find that, regardless of the patch I select on the 2101 the EQ stays the same on the Pro...
I did at one point get it to change to another curve set for another patch but not sure how I did it..and still...useless to me. It seems very complicated to do a simple task.

Please, can someone tell me how I can save the EQ adjustment to the sound/patch on my 2101 and have it recall every time I hit that patch....and the next patch...and the next patch etc??

EG, sound/patch 24 selects EQ24 saved with the same patch name 24 Delayed Guitar......16 Blues Lead etc. Basically a set and forget thing (which we all know isn't as you keep tweaking) The manual is virtually useless...I can't find anything anywhere related as most people seem to use this bit of kit for other uses....
I just assumed it would do what I need in its sleep.

Eagerly awaiting responses

Cheers

Lee

This guy has the MIDI control figured out.

Maybe you can contact him?

Hey, thanks for the quick reply... I'll do that.

Edit...

Sadly, that's all PC based software and not what I need.
Hopefully I can message him without having to join another forum...
Cheers.

Page 13: it has to be saved anywhere but the first slot. READ 3.9 several times

MIDI interface
Page 16 says it has to be SAVED from a computer-based sequencer program.

The manual may be worthless, BUT, it's all there is, ay?

On page 18 it gives a phone number for the latest software/patches

Thank you, That's pretty much where I got to. You would then expect that once you've saved a setting...like they have named 2 Studio, that every time I hit patch 2 Studio...that EQ setting would change?.....It doesn't.. or rather...If I have 2 Studio on and hit my pedal board to go to patch 10...Studio 2 remains... It's killing my last brain cell... I must be missing something here... Note that it says you can recall by pressing the data wheel.... I need it to change via MIDI command...sob...weep... I'm going to bed and start afresh tomorrow.

Thanks very much for the replies friends :)

You'll get it, I have used the DCX2496 for well over 15 years now for bass management. I read that manual 20 times. It boiled down to being a LOT easier than I thought.
It takes me a whoppin' 5 minutes to set any OXO. It's too easy! :-)

I'm going to be trying a mini HT8, it will probably give me a stroke.

In any case, I wish you the best.
