The A800 has quite a clinical or surgical sound.
Very precise.
With control I mean control over the speaker cone and movement.

It's just a number.
Don't worry too much about it.
Also with class-d amps it doesn't seem to matter much.

I love it, too.
That's why I chose this name.

That's disappointing. I thought you were celebrating one of these...

Hi guys, is this amp ok to use bridged for my klipsch kl650 center speaker? I read a few pages back that it wasn’t a good idea (for a sub) Will it damage my speaker? Thanks.

Don't worry.
If your speaker has 8 ohms or more you should be fine when bridged.
Btw. for subs it's an excellent amp due to it's tight control over the speaker cone.

I have had this amplifier for some time now and generally for the money I really like it. I have ordered another one to power my front LCR. Yesterday i did some level matching and testing (by ear), what i found (which I already kind of knew) is that the noise floor seems to be considerably higher than the avr (marantz sr6012) I was hoping to gain some extra headroom over the rotel 1565 which i was using before and still own. When testing between the rotel and the behringer it seems once the gains are set to match the rotel the noise floor seems comparable. At first the noise floor was a little bit more than i had hoped however i guess that all becomes irrelevant once i turn on the projector which then becomes the noise floor which is then higher than that of the amp. Overall great product for the money i think.

Update: I connected the A800 to my QSC SR-1020 surround speakers (94db sensitivity), and I they're dead silent. I had to put my ear 3 inch from the horn to be able to hear the slightest hiss.
PC volume 100%, DAC volume 100%, A800 on 12, which is impossible volume to play.
Interesting mine seems quite noisy with klipsch kl650.

Im wondering why mine has such a high noise floor, im using an aftermarket 240v uk lead and not the 2 pin european one that came with it. Im wondering if its a grounding issue, im sure i read in this thread a chap removed a ground wire, i have looked back through the thread and i cant seem to find it. Any suggestions?

The noise could be already present "before" the amp.
The unit could be defective.
Both.
