Ha, looks like it!My pet hate is "drinkable" or "session" beers that are, to my humble tastebuds, the breweries default full strength offer watered down to 4 ish percent. Not sure if this is a trend in the States as well as UK?

There is a time and a place for weaker brews. Washing down ones cornflakes, for example.Yes, and we Canadians consider USA beer to be weak and pisswater

It has gotten much better than it was some time ago. I remember going into the beer stores and it was all Coors, Michelob, Miller and other weak beers that taste like water compared to Canadian Beer and have a low alcohol content. The last trip to California I tasted some of the new beers and they where a improvement.Lots of good beer available here in the US

Just the average on the side of the road grocer. Nothing fancy. Mainstream Canadian beer is very different than the ones I listed. It is stronger in both flavour and alcohol content. Yeah, I had some craft beer when I was in California for a couple of weeks. Everybody in San Fran was slurping the stuff so I joined in and bought the same stuff.Maybe just your choice of store.
