Hello Community,

Hope you are all well & safe!

I postponed the living room setup (old post) for the time being as it's not financially reasonable for me. However, considering now a first setup for my bedroom (~17sq.m) as I spent most of my time there when at home (home office, etc.).

Please see in the table setup options I am considering based on budget ~2500-3000€. Many people recommend the LS50meta instead of the Wireless II as is avoided the single point of failure. Furthermore, separate box allows to upgrade setup at later point if desired, though highly doubt will be needed.

I think this is a decent first setup, do you agree? Which option would you consider best based on value/ benefit?

P.S 2 price options for the KEF LS50 Meta from the same reseller, i.e. 544€ (demo I assume) and 1050€, should I be really concerned about a demo model? I will be happy to save 50% if possible.

I've got 2 more recommendations from sub on reddit so expanding here.
REL T7/x & ELAC RS500. Starting to get confused tbh.

My (small) lounge room setup is LS50 Meta, SVS SB1000, WiiM Pro Plus and a Fosi ZA3. If I were starting again now I'd probably get the WiiM Amp Ultra (but it didn't exist at the time).

I've been super happy with the setup, especially for the relatively reasonable cost.

Hi, thank you for your feedback.

Quick question: Fosi ZA3 is just an amp, and Pro Plus is only a streamer, that's why the separate boxes?

So sounds like I am on the right path cost/ value. Thanks again!

For that price, for a small room (20sq/m) got myself a pair of Neumann kh150.
There are 2 reviews of them on ASR, and they outperform the LS50 on almost any metric, they're really that good. They also have dsp included, so you can calibrate them and adapt them to your room.
Here's two ASR reviews
My opinion is that for small rooms studio monitors have the best performance/cost ratio, and for the Neumann's you can listen to them for hours without any fatigue. Oh, and you won't need a sub.

Thank you for the alternative suggestion, I will look them up. Yes I listen almost all day when at home.

That's what they're designed for, being listened to 8 hours a day. Try to find a way to test them somewhere like in a shop.

Looks like very good alternative, considering I will save half the cost from KEF + amp + sub, and as you said won't lose in terms of performance quality.

That's an understatement, you'll definitely gain pure performance, one of the best dsp suite on the market, 500watts of power translating into 117dB max SPL, electronic protection against component overheating, linear phase, and the anechoic F6 being 35Hz, won't need a sub except for niche content. These are little beasts which dwarf the kefs in every way possible.
Genelec has some speakers that are very interesting as well in your case, and for a lot less money you can get some Kali audio too, you'll find several reviews of these 2 other brands on ASR. Kefs are good but that would never be my choice.

Yeah I heard about the Genelec 8030c on a KEF W2 youtube review. Kali audio never heard about. Thanks for the recommendations, will consider definitely.
