I've never been to a IMAX but this is worthy of breaking that spell....

I've only been once (Oppenheimer) and honestly it struck me as overrated. But for the mighty Zep, sign me up.

IMAX's are not all the same but they are all better than the others. I would say that they all are worthy of breaking the spell for.
I am fortunate that the first set of theatres I run into when leaving here have an IMAX as one of them.
Out of the 3-4 movies I see at a movie theater a year, the IMAX will be where I see 2/3 to 3/4 of them. The other one will be at an independent Mom & Pop movie theater operation. that is 1/3 farther away but you can be dining at a dining table and having an adult libation while watching the movie.

If it wasn't such a drive, I would be there more often. I am in that area on a fairly regular basis, but it's not at the right times to be going and watching a movie.
And, have to be careful about the adult libations as there is the drive back (although I could stay with a relative or someone I know in the area if preplanned.
Not exactly a good thing to call someone & say:
"I'm planning on going to a movie in your area, eat, drink too many adult libations, get drunk & want to stay at your house until I'm sober so that I can drive home".

Not that easy, old friends have become married (me too, although she is overseas frequently, for extended periods of time [before, I was, too & it was rarely to the same place]) & my mother's home is not an option. No hotels in the area. Other friends that could/would don't live close to there either.
Makes me want to cap my truck.

The SS would look funny but the copper's would probably leave you alone.
The coppers like to arrest people sleeping in their car (many want to listen to the stereo when they do that & the coppers consider that the cars accessory system being on) is "intent to drive drunk" when the opposite is the case. But they'll do that to you even if the accessory's are not on & you're keys are in your pocket.
Go figure, being safe is "drunk Driving" according to the authorities.

is that from the O2/Ertegun concert? I found out about that concert like a day or two after all the tickets had sold out. I think scalpers were selling them for ~$2000. I couldn't believe I had come within a day or two of being in the right place at the right time to actually buy tickets to hear Zep play.

EDIT: oops- yes of course that is from that concert. When I watched the footage I remember thinking that is one of the better performances of Black Dog they ever layed down. You could tell they were trying to open "heavy" because, as they said in interviews, they "wanted to prove they could still rock heavier than anyone". I don't think they had to worry much, although some of the later songs in the set were pretty mediocre. I was very glad, though, to hear they performed "For Your Life" live for possibly the first time ever- so mad I couldn't be there.

If you're a fan of LZ, a must watch. I consider LZ the GOAT rock band of all time myself. The influences of black American artists influencing them (as well as so many others at the time) and how they reciprocate the influences on so many in the US and UK who followed them. Such wonderful energy and synergism.
