Bayerdynamic DT1770 VS DT1990 VS DT900 PRO X?

Most likely yes.... at least when playing it loud on an amplifier that does not clip up to a few Watt in 16ohm.

Thank you for the response. How would you compare the JT7 VS the He400se. The JT7 looks a bit more appealing, but I can EQ the HE400se with Oratory's eq, which could be a gamechanger

The HE 400SE I could not use without EQ, the JT7 is one of the very few ones that I can use without any EQ.
That doesn't mean you may like/prefer it though or would want to EQ it.
Didn't like the 400SE headband either as it pushed on the sides of my head.
That headband really needs a comfort strap.
Looks, comfort, cable and fit of the JT7 are much better than HE400SE.

Hello, which of these two will be better in terms of low frequencies and overall quality: the dt 900 pro x or the HD 490 pro?

If I had to choose between the DT 900 PRO X and HD 490 PRO I would choose the JT7.
It is cheaper too !

The JT7 does require a headphone amp but even when buying one of those too you are still cheaper than the others you mentioned.

Is there anything in under 500 bracket competing against DT 900 Pro X? I do like the headphones, especially for bass, but somehow I feel that dialing in mids is hard (they sound somehow artificial) even with EQ and the sound stage is quite small. Use case is for mixing and listening. Sundara?
