Bayerdynamic DT1770 VS DT1990 VS DT900 PRO X?

They all sound different and have different stronger and weaker points.

I really can't say which points are important to you and which ones you don't care about.

Hi. Actually, I've settled on three pairs. Which ones do you think are preferable for music production and beats? Which of these pairs is better: the dt1770mk1 or the dt1990mk2? Please choose a leader. Then compare it with the dt900 pro x. Write down who you think will come first.

I didn't like the sound signature of the dt1770m2, dt1990mk1, and dt990 pro x. I'm more inclined towards open-ear headphones - I've heard the dt900 pro x, and I like them - compared to the dt1770mk1 and dt1990mk2, which of these two would be a better upgrade for me?
Is it worth overpaying for the dt1990mk2 or the dt1770mk1? And if so, which one is better?

Why don't you do this, instead of asking others to do it?

As solderdude has very patiently said over and over, no one can tell you what you're going to prefer. None of these headphones is "objectively" better than the others. They all have strengths and weaknesses. Solderdude has helpfully posted the measurements for these headphones. Now it is up to you to go listen to them and decide which one you like the most.

I didn't send you a message. I don't have the opportunity to purchase all the headphones at once. So next time, think before you write.

Both need treble peaks lowered.

the MkII are more sensitive than the originals.
DT1990 when you need open, DT1770 when you need closed.

The 1770mkII is 'better' than DT1770 (original)
DT1990 mkII has slightly better tuning with the new pads.

When you don't have large ears I suggest DT 270 PRO.
For closed DT 990 PRO X (the new one, not the LE) but with a filter or EQ in the treble.

You should be able to buy both for the price of one DT1990/1770

There is no 'better' here.
There is different and open and closed have different use cases.

Buy the one you like !

This is an open forum. You are soliciting opinions from everyone here. If you want to have a private discussion, use the private message function.

You keep asking the same questions, over and over, creating new threads to ask the same questions over and over, and getting the same answers. Perhaps it is you who needs to "think before [he] writes".

When you can ONLY buy Beyerdynamic....

Buy a DT 900 PRO X and DT 990 PRO X.
I have the DT 900 Pro X for 2 years now. Why should I buy the DT 990 Pro X? I use mine mainly for gaming (coming from the DT 990 pro 250 Ohms)
I tried the mmx 330 pro x, which have same stellar driver and found no upgrade to the 900 pro x.
(Love also my Sennheiser HD 560S for music and gaming in this order)

There is no reason to buy the 990 PRO X when you already have a DT 900 PRO X.

Only when you have none and are undecided which of these 2 models to buy I would suggest to audition both and buy the one you prefer.
They do sound a little different, DT 990 PRO X is a bit leaner/colder sounding and has different upper mids/treble texture.

Hello. I didn't like the 1990 MK2. They have a low amount of low frequencies, similar to the dt 880, or even less, and they are bright on all tracks, not sharp but very bright, lacking volume, coherence, and density. I thought they would be similar to the dt900 pro X, but they fall short in every aspect. Except for the width of the stage. It felt like I was sitting in a large concert hall in the fifth row, far away from the vocalist and musicians, and I like it when the sound is close to the musicians, warmer. It's similar to the dt900pro x. Additionally, if the volume is higher than average, the speakers start to choke, fart, and clap due to the low impedance, which was not the case with the 250 ohms and 48 ohms. What do you think of these two options for writing arrangements, beats, and production - the dt1770mk2 or the HD490 Pro? The main thing is that the sound should be cohesive, full, warm, and weighty with natural low frequencies, as the author originally intended. The Dt900 pro x is close to this, but it lacks precise bass (low frequencies) and has a narrow stage.

Write your top 10 headphones for production, arrangement, and mixing. From best to worst. Regardless of whether it's a closed or open form

What headphones can this Jade Audio (FiiO) JT7 model be compared to? How are they in terms of low frequencies, and what headphones do they resemble? What kind of headphone path does this mean, and will the Focusrite 16i 16 fourth-generation or Audiophile be able to drive them?

The FT7 review is up.

Here's the thing.
One can even use 'colored' headphones for mixing but under the stipulation that one knows how that headphone sounds with will made recordings.

To avoid 'the circle of confusion' it would be best to use headphones that sound the same as calibrated monitors (tonally) and the FT7 is 'better' in that aspect than many other headphones. Especially planar ones.

So I can't recommend an absolute 'top 10' as my top 10 may not be someone else's top 10 for quite a few reasons.

IMHO for mixing it would be best to use 'neutral' headphones.
And when one likes how music sounds on headphones with Harman tuning they also should use Harman tuned headphones to avoid the 'circle of confusion'.
When (well recorded, and that's where the shoe may wring) music sounds good on your headphones of choice and you can get your own productions to sound 'similar' in tonal balance and dynamics your productions will sound fine to others as well.... and that is the end goal.

There is no 'best' headphone for the job. There are quite a few good ones and well suited ones but they may not be the same ones others prefer.

Hi dear friend. I need headphones purely for beatmaking, production. So that all frequencies are in place. Low (not hypertrophied), middle and up (not sharp). The most important thing is that the headphones do not sound too sterile like a surgical knife. I liked the signature of the dt 880/900. Suggest headphones that can be used without an equalizer, so that they sound collected and voluminous, like near-field monitors. I'm choosing from these models: dt 1770, dt900, hd 490, hd 650, and hd660s. Please advise me on which one is the best for my needs. Thank you. I specifically need it for writing music. I want to minimize the differences with my monitors.

The JT7 is exactly that.

Let me put it this way... When someone would put a gun to my head and force me to give up all headphones I owned, was not allowed to EQ but could only keep 1 headphone and the value must renain below € 500.- it would be the JT7 (at this point in time).
Yes, it is cheaper than all the others you mentioned. Has a cable with as good as no microphonics, is comfortable and has a sound signature one could easily mix with. No EQ needed for me.

Don't ask me how and why FiiO was able to make a good sounding planar headphone for this kind of money.
It is a no-brainer... just buy the damn thing and stop your search right here.

I read your review on your website, ordered it immediately, and couldn't be happier. So... thank you!

Great review of the JT7 on your website. I was about to buy the JT7 but I saw another reviewer (Boizoff) claim that one of the membranes cracks at medium volume (and above). He also has distortion at 94 db pictures in the comments. Could you say your thoughts on this? Is this a dealbreaker

My copy (I can't speak for any other copy) sounds clean even with 10V peaks = 5.5 Watt = 127dB peak SPL.
Can't say if his copy has a faulty driver or not but certainly seems like it.

When someone gets a copy with an issue I would contact FiiO and return it.
IME FiiO is very responsive.
