Well, I tried...

I thought it would auto focus at infinity, it didn't.

Lots of humidity so the color is rather reddened...

Ignition glow...

Rising above my horizon...

Side Booster separation and reverse burn (left), core continues on (right)...

Side booster course correction burn, still a few miles up... Not a double exposure, they were aligned like that...

And that's it.

I could go to the top of a local hospital's multistory parking garage for a good view, I didn't know if I'd see anything at all, due to the summer weather and distance...

117 miles minimum from here:

Cool. Miss the shuttle launches that we would see when I lived in Florida.....
Saw shuttle at night from New Smyrna Beach.

Clear winter night, the blue hydrogen flame of the main engines after the boosters separated was visible all the way down to the horizon as it headed over the edge toward Africa.

Seeing a liftoff in person must be amazing, I’d love to see one one day.
I just watched today’s Falcon Heavy launch. It all runs so smoothly that even when the core booster failed to land it felt like everyone was just playing a video game.
