Any technical information on this Atmos feature out there?

Of limited usefulness to me, as 99%+ of my collection is 2-channel, and the remainder is rips of MCH SACDs (yes, I was an an enthusiastic SACD adopter and at one time owned three players).

I don’t have any details but from what I know it will be compatible with the surround formats on tidal.

A record I didn’t like becomes simple irresistible: Pink Floyd - The Wall. I just can’t describe how much better it sounds with B4M.
Edgard should demo Bacch with this. The whole 4 sides of it.

Soon I hope we get more information on stratosonic. As an aside I wish another audio influencer would be the informal spokesperson for BACCH. He isn’t the worst for this, but I’m tired of the rich guys rubbing elbows with other rich guys discussing their expensive hobbies designed almost solely for conspicuous consumption.

The problem is this - tech like Bacch is expensive. Even the VST for windows users is expensive as far as VST's go. They will not make a version of Bacch4Mac for windows...which is sad for windows users. I'm just not seeped into the apple universe, so going to a Mac would be a cost, not including the hardware layout for Bacch4Mac. So I'm just going to enjoy what I have.

AFAIK the Theoretica team is very small so even Edgar wanted to I don’t think he has time to reprogram B4M for windows. I have had BACCH for 6 or so years in some form and in that time Edgar has clearly been more busy and supported has become slower and harder to get.

True, I'm loving UBacch so I'm alright (even though looking that the GUI on B4M makes a person drool)!

I’m red green colorblind so the b4m interface is hard to use at times for me due to poor contrast. Otherwise I like all the graphics and buttons.

I'm getting XTC readings of 15, both channels. I don't know if it's ORC, but I'm loving it. My FR is very close to optimal.

Carlos’ best album in my opinion. Been listening to it since it first came out.

Yes it is expensive (in Commercial terms, probably way beyond the optimum in a cost/demand curve).
But as cost effectiveness pov, b4m must be the biggest bargain in audio. I don’t know any us$5k hardware that gives you even a fraction of the improvement of Bacch.

Regarding the Mac: you install a completely silent $700 Mac mini, use it as a Roon server (of you want), file server (if you want), and b4m, even without monitor/keyboard/mouse and leave it on without supervision for months, almost like any appliance in your home. What’s the problem with that?

On the used market m1 mac mini’s with 16gb can be had for $250 and a new m4 Mac mini can be had for $480. Compared to almost all other audiophile accoutrements that is a bargain.

The "funk" albums of Hancock sound incredible with B4M. Specially "head hunters" (that, btw, was ranked with a 10 in pitchfork).

Amazing more realism in this one. Check out the title song (first one). If after hearing this anyone doubts about Bacch and how XTC is able to improve your listening pleasure... well, hard to understand what he is expecting from audio reproduction.
Those eclesiastic choruses hugely expanded with each singer localized, Cohen -in the most bold contrast possible- whispering just next to you , the organ way back, the big space where the song develops... omg... and I didn't like Cohen...

Echoes of PF, the Live at Pompeii version, in binaural. I listened it first with headphones, then with Bacch and the maggies. Clearly more pleasure and realism listening it with the dsp.

Nice sounding, as almost every ECM record. Here there are two bass players and/or two drummers at the same time. With B4M you can clearly identify each one, specially on bass: one in middle-right slightly back in the stage, the other way left at 90 degrees, much closer to you, very present ("Sound Creation"). The interplay between both drummers altering trikes each over the other is almost impossible to get it right when you disable the cross-cancellation (ie: listen the last couple of minutes of "For the Love of Paul").
Curioulsy, none of this is even mentioned in one review of this record, which makes me think even professional reviewers are missing something while listening without XTC. ECM records always scarce in comments (I have the LP) , may be the title related with these players being "around you in the room"?
