B&W 802 D3 for 8500$ -> Is it worth it?

This goes a bit beyond my capabilities to be honest. It's always interesting, but I have no idea how to even start doing this?
The built-in voicings and the tone controls (with selectable hinge frequency) are on the web-page interface, which you must have used when you set up RoomPerfect.

By the way, when you compared your JBLs, did you rerun RP for them?

I tried them both without the EQ for a fair comparison. But it might be fun to try the RP with it enabled.

I can't remember if I can save multiple configurations, that'd be great.

As for this thread, I have cancelled the sale I was planning for the speakers. There was such a gulf of difference between the JBL and the B&W that I think I'd be pretty dissapointed. I might first hunt for a set of speakers where I at least feel I'm not losing too much first.
