My wife's prescription for the same was essentially free. She is on another super expensive medication ($6,000 a month!) so maybe she exhausted her deductible. Either way, was happy to not pay another $800.

Fortunately, here in Ontario Paxlovid is entirely covered by the Ontario Drug Benefit (ODB) program. In particular if you’re in a high risk category.

I’m in a high risk category (Long Covid going on 5 years now), but fortunately, I have not gotten Covid for a second time. Fingers crossed. I know that for most people they now view Covid as about inconvenient as a cold. But trust me, you get a whole new perspective when a single Covid infection disables you. You don’t want to get that sucker again!
