AXPONA 2026: Estelon & Vitus $1.5M Audio System

I would say instead, we just don't have patience for con-artists, hucksters, pseudoscience, voodoo and black magic.

Many members here know the science well enough that they are immune and impervious to BS.
It was really nice at first, I was enjoying the conversation. But read again his sales pitch, that was really bold and pushy, you reap what you sow.
yeah the start with setting up the booth at exhibitions was nice and calm
only if he didn't start with cables and then rage quit

but I guess you can't sell people thousands of dollars worth of cables and let statements about their absolute non-efficacy slide either.
You also must sell said cables via sighted testing, so that potential buyers can hear what they see... and buy. Otherwise they might not hear any difference... i.e. no sale.
A potential buyer must convince himself there is a positive difference, one way or another

If anybody was wondering why his posts about cables read more like marketing blurbs than actual science:

https://www.cepro.com/briefs/crystal-cable-sales-now-handled-by-elite-marketing/123763/

"International Audio Holding (IAH), owners of the premium audio cable brand Crystal Cable, has announced that it has engaged Aldo Filippelli and his company Elite Marketing Dynamics, LLC (EMD) as its official representative sales agent throughout the United States and Latin America."

That post is like a stake through the heart of a vampire, lol.

This thread turned out highly entertaining. I am reading it on a plane and as soon as the gentleman mentioned cables I turned to my wife and said it's like someone just threw chum in the water from Quint's boat and all I have to do to see the feeding frenzy is keep reading.

Who knew Axpona threads could be so much fun?

Yes, expensive cables must look...expensive ! It is mandatory that you have the feeling you are buying something special, like a swiss watch. Crystal Cables is wellknown for that, with a very high WAF since the cables look like jewelry with crystal. Nothing to do with the sound however

The website is entertaining. The words 'Soul' and 'Emotion' are used frequently, and there's a video with a man wearing a black polo-neck.

Allegedly these cables reveal the soul and emotion of the recording like no others, which is odd if we consider that those attributes cannot therefore have been lost in all the totally perfunctory wiring and cabling used in the studio where the recording was made...
