I had a very pleasant start on my second day at the Doshi suite. Nick Doshi was a delightful presenter and produced some of the best sound/experiences at AXPONA:

This track on tape was just to die for: I'm Confessin' (That I Love You) by Dean Martin. https://shz.am/t3050403

The tape was a sampler produced for a few suites and unfortunately not for sale. This track was warm and highly detailed. Was a joy to listen.

We then switched to digital on dCS Rossini: It's A Miracle by Roger Waters. https://shz.am/t5925573

Roger waters got a ton of play at this show:

Luckily it is a delightful track. It was a bit flat sounding but still, very enjoyable.

Next was LP format: Rodrigo: Concierto De Aranjuez For Guitar And Orchestra-2. Adagio-Cadenza: Joaquin Rodrigo by Reinhard Peters & Berliner Philharmoniker & Siegfried Behrend. https://shz.am/t70594243

Surface noise was annoying. Most strained and lowest fidelity of the three formats played. On the plus side, it had good dynamics.

This Yello album on Reel to Reel tape has created a lot of buzz. La Habanera by Yello. https://shz.am/t10289365

I heard this a few months ago on a different setup and I thought it was a step down from digital on all fronts. Here, it was a bit boomy and bright but overall, a big step forward in performance from last time I heard it.

Owning the Sophia I really do like the Yvette . Its a warm does everything well .. Unlike some of the bigger brothers who throw a wall of sound ten feet tall.. I really enjoyed this room. Daryl Wilson hit a Home run as lead designer on these !

I was so disappointed by this demo. But I only heard vinyl playing.
