AVR for a 2.1 setup ideas?

Thank you, I can't wait! I've bought the non meta ones for a reasonable price :) My budget has a limit unfortunately.

The non meta ones are fine imo and I doubt I could hear such minor differences. They are still real 4 ohm speakers though phase angles weren't bad.
It seems if you are okay with the weak NR1506 amps you will be fine with the C50, my concern about heat is only if you suddenly want to listen much louder, say >6 dB louder than you usually do, for a prolong period. In any case, I would still say it is worth spending $20 to protect the very nice and quite pricey AVR you now have.

Midrange AVRs are just not designed for use with 4 ohm nominal speakers such those relatively big R11 towers, though they can be used safely under certain/many use cases (such as yours).

Thank you for the help, really appreciate it! I will for sure install a fan or something to cool down my AVR, hopefully we can enjoy it for a really long time.

One last update, the results!
Marantz cinema 40, KEF R11's and the SVS PB-3000 revolution. Many thanks again!

Yup! Ordered the S10 :)
I have a rear vented T8 myself. However, I will say it has more noise than an inexpensive set of simpler fans I had from coolerguys.com (with variable speed dual fans but silent only at the lowest rpms). However, the aesthetics are better and I only hear the fans when the room's really quiet and there's silence gaps in the audio being played plus you get some spec of temperatures with the push of a button....

Another pb-3000 will both look and sound better. Just saying
Great set up anyway
I'm already well above budget and more than happy with the way my setup sounds ;) I'll be skipping this option for now haha

I've thought about making something myself, but doing it the way I'd like it would cost about 50% of what the S10 costs and doesn't nearly look as good.

I noticed where you were going to have them, the AC Infinity stuff is better looking :)
