I've been looking for a good closed back headphone option to use in an office environment that offers good isolation and comfort for long term use. I noticed Aune recently came out with the SR7000 and I haven't seen many opinions here probably because they are still very new. I've read a couple of reviews on the Head-Fi forums, but I've also read claims that Aune hires people to leave positive reviews (not saying this is true, just something I've seen in passing).

Curious to get some honest opinions here from anyone who has had a chance to try them. In the $500-600 price range, would you say they are one of the better closed back headphone options? I'm wondering how the SR7000 compares to something like the DCA Aeon Closed X or Focal Azurys which are in a similar price range.

I am interested in a closed-back headphone in this price range, but the lack of frequency response measurements of this model is holding me back from buying it. Listening before purchase, as unfortunately often happens, is almost impossible in my city.

I’ve decided to order the SR7000 and am currently waiting for them to arrive. I’ll follow up as I haven’t found much here on them.

I'll be testing one. If OP is still interested I'll post my measurement and impressions here, in a few weeks time give or take.
Oh yes you did. @Antique_Musician

Seems like a very good headphone. I'm not sure about bump around 200-80hz probably would need to EQ it down a bit, nevertheless solid headphone.

Thanks! Beat me to it haha.

Indeed, I think these are very competent in the current market, especially given its tuning approach. Personally, I don't perceive that much of a bumpo around the mid-bass and up likely due to the presence of minor leaks when actually worn on the head. The bass quantity is a bit north of neutral ie. dead flat, but I would never call it boomy or congested.

Yes I wanted to add that. On my head which is on small (maybe even very small) side bass could be much lower because of the imperfect seal.

So for me it could be EQ'less headphone

ps. it's me "Serene guy" from head-fi ;)

Haha I see

Yeah if you’re after a closed-back that sounds open while having a well-tuned stock response, the SR7000 is a solid choice. But let’s be real, it’s not gonna outshine your Serene!
