That's exactly how I think, these expensive cables are 'working'. They are priming people's brains with the marketing hype. Then it actually DOES sound better to them through the magical power of brain priming.

And then all those perceived differences disappear when science enters the test formula.
Like strict bias controlled double blind listening procedures.

Late to the party. I recently invested in the Wireworld Platinum 8 USB. It’s the most expensive USB cable I currently have in the system and it’s marvelous. It brought a level of refinement and control to the sound which I wasn’t expecting.

I haven’t listened to the costlier options which Audioman58 has tried. Nevertheless, I am currently very happy with the improved sound quality of the system with the Platinum Starlight 8 USB. Who would have thought that a USB cable would have such an impact to the system. Recommended.

The Infigo USB costs $1,600 so I guess it would fit the higher end systems. The Wireworld Platinum Starlight 8 USB at $600 is a fraction of the cost so I can understand the Infigo is better. Nevertheless, I am amazed and shocked that the difference with USB cables is noticeably huge, and the performance of the WW Platinum Starlight 8 can still be improved. My early experience with cheap USB cables around $100 and some $5 and below freebies, they all sound almost the same to me with negligible difference.

Thanks. The WW Platinum Starlight 8 seems to have the edge in areas of transparency and detail in comparison to the Tellurium Q Ultra Silver. I haven’t switched back to the Tell-Q to reconfirm my impressions and will do so sometime. Nevertheless, I am convinced that the improvements the WW cable has brought to the mix are something that’s real, and I’m rather stunned that a USB cable is able to do this.

If I'd just dropped 1k on a cable I would quite happily convince myself it enabled me to hear the angels singing too .

Question about USB DAC noise

So i had some issues with noise? jitter? coming from my Topping E30 ii Lite on USB.
For what ever reason every time I moved my mouse on my computer, I could hear some artifact or noise coming through the headphones.
I was actually debating getting one of these "USB cleaners". Then i realized i had an old Creative sound blaster omni DAC that can take USB and output SPDIF.

So what once was:
Computer -> USB -> Topping E30 ii Lite
is now:
Computer -> USB -> Creative omni -> SPDIF -> Topping E30 ii Lite
And the noise is gone

My question is:
1) Was what I was hearing Noise? Jitter? Something else?
2) Im fine with using this combo, but what other options could a person do? I take it this jitterbug wouldn't have done anything.
Is there something else I could have done to solve this issue?

Ground loop.

You got lucky with the new configuration and broke the loop.

Another way of resolving the issue would be to use toslink instead of USB, or to use a galvanic USB isolator between the PC and the E30.
