Audiophoolery humour thread

No, quantum entanglement is the latest trend in audiophoolery, at least audiophools are trying to wrap their minds around it (and failing quite miserably)!
Wait a minute, do they really? I know you're fooling around, but it also wouldn't surprise me if reality once more was surpassing satire.

Also doesn't help with taking this seriously, that in my native German the word for quantums = "Quanten" is also colloquially used for "stinky feet". :facepalm:

Yeah -- sorry about that. :facepalm:
Perhaps I should've put that vintage photo of Big T (from the cover of The Who Sell Out, arguably their best pre-Tommy album*) inside 'spoiler' tags.

* which, admittedly, ain't saying much. ;)
(there is some pretty good stuff on Sell Out, though)
I think of it as their Rubber Soul.

Since this is a humour thread, I guess a bit of nostalgic off-topic silliness is allowed:

My username is really old and comes from old gamer days. Specifically, a realtime Worms clone called Liero that looked like this:

Gameplay and mobility heavily relied on using the swingy rope. What's more, it had a username generator, one of the results of which being... Ropeburn. It kinda stuck, and the rest is history. :D

The speaker cable photo reminds me of my days of model railroading and HO gauge racing (which I still enjoy from time to time).

better than my screen name origin story -- mine came straight from AOL since "mhardy" was already taken -- even 'way back in 1994. :facepalm:
they said "how about mhardy6647?" (more or less) and I said "sure, why fight it?" (again, more or less).
For all I know, they might've had 6646 mhardys before me. :rolleyes: Which is even worse if the number's in hex. :facepalm:
