Audiophile Speaker 2.1 Setup For Under $250

I don't know about those bookshelf speakers but I heard that Polk sub for $100 at RMAF audio show and it did its job. We listened with and without it with another pair of bookshelf speakers and as long as you don't turn up too loud, it provided nice bass support.
On his amp, I know I got that suggestion to buy and test. I have to check to see if I did.
