Do the LEDs on the front indicate the drawn current V.U. meter style ?

Hi Frans :

No indication of the drawn current, the LEDs occasionally flick way up towards the right depending how much interference the circuit is removing.

Thanks, Graz

Hi Frans,

LEDs, most likely, indicate the noise between Ground (Earth) and Neutral, which should be identical with the noise between Ground and Live, but it's easier and safer to measure it between Ground & Neutral.

Here's the schematic: http://www.decdun.me.uk/mccircuit.html.

P.S.: Here's the difference between vacuum cleaner is OFF vs. ON, measured across GND & Neutral:

Like 8 times more noise, but still less than 1 volt out of around 244V on my mains (in Europe mains can have up to 250V, unfortunately).

The 'pickup' coil will detect current differences between L and N line currents and only the higher frequencies are used due to C16.
So any 'unbalance' (in the higher frequency range) will be detected and the 'peak value' of it will be displayed in the bar graph it seems.
