god I loved that thing. bought it new for $400. now they go for $900 to $2000 used depending on the condition. If you can find one.

Early Luxman sq 38-this is what an amplifier should look like. Nearly bought one from Japan last year but stopped myself in the nick of time. Almost useless in the modern audio system but I could have just looked at it.

Luxman made some gorgeous products back in the day. I particularly admired their receiver series such as the Luxman R-1120A, including beautiful wood cases ...
