Audioholics: What is Loudspeaker Directivity?

I wonder @Matthew J Poes if the 212's sharp change in directivity from 500Hz (90°) to 1kHz (35°), a range that covers fundamental notes of most acoustic instruments, is audibly inconsequential (tonal balance wise).
