Audiocontrol Hyperion Processor

Same here but I wouldn't rush it. Let's have first some beta users fighting bugs and then you buy it when most are fixed via firmware.

So I'd wait until Q2 2027 if I were you

I am waiting on the dpr, and hopefully the fixes from apr carry forward to that assuming it's applicable to the shared parts. Obviously assuming here that everything is similar other than output part of the stack

It must be easier for them to fix all bugs, there no Analogue parts at all, and like my "Father" told already above they fixing bugs on that APR-16 and the digital section would be neare the same i guess.

Also no comperable Devices out there at this Pricepoint.

The Nuprime HX16-AES or AIP will probably released much later or next Year

https://audiophilestyle.com/forums/topic/71246-hx16-aip-hx16-aes/

Also you can buy now the H16-AES or AIP and you need only to pay the difference for replacing it to an HX16-AES later after release.

But who knows how good it become and how it would look and what kind off Bugs it would have at Start.

Ad the End the listet Features sounds good on Paper. Would be Comperable to that DPR-16 depends on Pricepoint.

Also you could use the H16-AES or AIP (48kHz Output only) till the HX16 version is released for 900 to 1100€ ;)

The Discission isn't easey ;)

For my Setup i would like to add an MUTEC MC-4 for 8 Channel and 2x MUTEC MC-4 for 16Channel reclocking in to my RME HDSPe AES to feed the same Clock into the rme Card with an Black Lion Clock (Jitter 0,5pS)

RME Datasheet says default Jitter is <1nS but 0,5 pS sounds much better ;) would like to test it with some measurments, RME Card with external Clock and Without.

How much will be the Soundimprovement's there.

Black Lion Clock starts at 599€ with 4 BNC Out and 1200€ for 8 BNC Outs Wordclock.

On the other Hand i couldn't find any specification about the Internal Clock Stabillity like on an MUTEC 10REF nanno with 0.01 ppm on that 10MHz Masterclock.

And i guess at the End for Soundquality Jitter (0.5pS) is more relevant than the clockstabillity over a Year specialy if all devices uses the same Clock.

Forget about the Clock stuf isn't worth it or btter to say i won't give any benifit on my Setup.
I talked to RME about and they told me that.

The RME Card has already up to 50dB Jitta rejection and the Rest depends on the used DAC.

But MC-4 would make sense as an SRC use if the Surroundprocessor can't do it. Like on my DYI HDMI to 4x AES Extractor at the Moment.
VanityPro also don't need it has his own.

On DPR-16 and HX16-AES i guess ist's done already in the Processor, but not sure now.
DANNTE needs also fixed Samplerate or not??? Never used DANNTE.

I expected the rear panel of the DPR16 to be like the APR16, but without the analogue outputs. The Dante connections seem to be the same, but I was expecting the HDMI connectors to be the same as well, as that board would have been difficult and expensive to develop, and you'd think sharing major parts would make technical and commercial sense for the niche DPR16. So I'm not too sure about the possibilities for commonality etc. I'm still looking forward to the DPR16 very much, though.

I'm looking forward to the HX16 as well, but Nuforce have indicated the price will be similar to the DPR16.
Nuforce have been kicking the HX16 down the road for a while now, and I suspect that difficult experience with the H16 has made them wary, and I'm not sure the HX16 will ever see the light of day.

Thats why i didn't bought the H16-AES ;)
Keeping the Possbility open to going for Hyperion DPR-16

Also till then i could still use my HDMI to AES Extractor :)

They know what happen if DPR-16 is released, the most people would go for it and later no one will buy an HX16 or much less people!

If Hyperion deliver what they have promised!

I am fine with 4 HDMI in and one ARC Out but no reserve left, all used than :( and i need to add my HDMI switcher again for more.

Self build ;)

I have 2 different HDMI to I2S Boards (The first one i use on an Raspberry 5 for HDMI to I2S in and thats worked):

Or this (both tested, this i use at now for my Extractor to AES):

https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005...7c878064a55bf52aa4b6e4e59db&afSmartRedirect=y

And 4x this for Digital Out 7.1:

Than i got last day this:

https://kaamostech.com/product/clock-buffer-1-4/

For Kabelmanagement between the Boards ;)

Using This :

https://kaamostech.com/product/u-fl-cable/

10 and 20cm long.

also this:

https://kaamostech.com/product/u-fl-to-pinheader-adapter/

I tested it already with one i2S to AES Out and put the DATA Kabel on all 4 I2S Signal Lines on that HDMI Borad and they worked already.
Now i need to fiddle this Clockbuffer in btween for 4 I2S to AES, SPDIF, Tosling and HDMI I2S Out's

Than i have an HDMI to other Digtal Outs Extractor in One Device ;)

First Prototype:

IMG_20260530_150632_2.jpg IMG_20260606_085117_7.jpg

It was already HD Audio Master with 192kHz surround playing from Scofield blueray so i guess it will do what i want. But work in Progress!

I will then also measure the Jitta on the digital Outs, let see how bad it could be ;)

Also DAC on Blueraplayer SPDIF Out and on that Extractor SPDIF Out for copmparance, HDMI from same Bluerayplayer with THD+N Measurings.

Playing 1kHz from an Testfile (USB Stick). Or using my PC with HDMI Out, also Toslink Digital Out it has, would be easier to measure with REW.

For Analoge in i use an QA403, aslo Cosmos APU aviable here ;) Victor Oszilaor ordered with 1kHz for Analoue Measurings on Amps , ADC'S and so on.

This could need some time i move right now with my whole Stuff in an new Apartment ;)
And there is no Kitchen no Carpet so i need to work on by my own, from next Day!

Thats my HYpex Main AMps 1x NC122 (2x125W/4Ohm) + 1x NC250 (1x250W/4Ohm) for 3 Way full Aktive

IMG_20260531_113535_4.jpgIMG_20260531_113641_3.jpg

Also self build:

Also have 5 more NC122 liying around and the Enclosures for CNC cutting. Still Work on the way LOL
