Hello,

I am writing from Turkey and using google translate; Sorry for the text friends. I added pictures of the room; It's a pretty small room, 20 m².

projector:

- Viewsonic P701-4K

- 2x HDMI, 1x audio out

- Homatics R 4K Plus

- 1x HDMI, 1x AV out, 1x optical out

I need a sound system to watch TV shows, movies and listen to music. I want a soundbar; It doesn't belong to me.

Should you buy active stereo speakers (Edifier S2000MKIII) or amplified passive speakers?

How to find amplifiers:

- Fosi Audio BT20A

- Fosi Audio V3

How to find DACs:

- Fiio BTA30 Pro

Please help me. Should I get the Edifier S2000MKIII or do you have other options? Amplifiers and DACs can be used but expand the speakers. Which speakers should I buy? I look forward to your overview and help.

Even if my budget is limited, I want to work with hi-fi. Maybe us.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Do I need to buy a DAC?
Which amplifier can I buy that is better but cheaper?
I wonder which are the best speakers for a 20m2 room?
It would be better if you tell me all the speakers that come to your mind, I can find them more easily.

Of course you need a DAC for digital sources. ;)

Most people use an audio video receiver (AVR) which has a built-in DAC (and amplifier) and it works as a "control center". An AVR can also decode all of the surround formats.

With an amplifier, the most important thing is power (Wattage) and maybe "features" (multiple inputs, tone controls, etc.). Usually you find "features" on integrated amplifiers and then it's usually more economical to buy a receiver.

I don't want to recommend speakers. Do you have a local audio-video store where you can listen? Even if you don't buy from the store you can get an idea of what's available and how different speakers sound different.

Most "hi-fi" and home theater speakers are passive. Studio monitors are usually active, and studio monitors are mostly sold where they sell musical instruments and pro audio equipment. Many AVRs don't have "preamp outputs" so they are made for passive speakers.

There are some theoretical advantages to active speakers (and you don't need an amplifier) but that doesn't mean every active speaker is better than every passive speaker.

For similar money in speakers (depending on what is available in your area) you can get JBL 308P or Elac DBR 62, those have had good reviews here and are considered good for the money.

You do need a DAC but don't worry about spending a lot of money on it. Fosi amplifiers are good if you don't get active speakers.

There are good active and passive speakers. The best choice depends on what is convenient for you.

Thank you for your comments.
Can you help me make a choice to make my job a little easier?
Should I choose the Amplifier or speakers first?

Amplifiers I can buy
I have a budget of around $300
Sony str dh190 (300$) (Used item, I will be the second owner)
Fosi audio bt20a pro (150$) (Brand new unused product)

Speakers I can buy.
Kef q150-q350
Dali Oberon 1-3
triangle borea br03
Pionner CS 999
Wharfedale diamond 9.0-10.5-10.2-8.2

I got so tired that I gave up buying it after a while because I couldn't decide like that.

From those speakers I would personally go with KEF for sure, if you like a clean / even sound. Otherwise I think the Wharfedale but I haven't heard them personally.

From the amps, I would go with the Fosi unless you need the inputs on the Sony. They have more power for the dollar.

The Sony sells for as little as $115 used in the US and $200 new, so $300 is not worth it for that item.

Good morning.

Thanks for everything. I don't think I could find a better amplifier for $150, even a used one here. For this reason, I decided on the amplifier I would buy (fosi audio bt20a pro). I will do extensive research to determine the speakers I can buy and their prices, and then open a new discussion. I will buy the speaker with the most votes. I hope I can finish this soon and enjoy the music.

A lot of those speakers have reviews here or on Erin's Audio Corner. I would take some time to look at those reviews and form your own opinions.
