Audio setup for nearfield Pc music listening

Hello.

My current setup consists of:
Wharfedale Diamond 11.0
Loxjie A30 (sold)
Kanto SP6HD stand
Fosi Audio K7 (free with headphones)
Fosi i5
Meze 105 AER

I listen sitting at my desk at a distance of 80-100cm. I'd like an improvement from my current setup.
I wanted to switch to a setup with active speakers for simplicity.
Having come across a good deal, I sold the Loxjie.
So I got some Adam Audio D3vs. I'm using them, but I don't like them for various sonic and practical reasons.
The Kali Audio LP-UNFs don't appeal to me aesthetically.
The Kanto Ora4s are never available and would cost me €400-500 anyway, which I don't think is worth it.

Other active monitors I've seen are:
Fluance Ai61 €360
TRIANGLE LN01A €400
Klipsch R-40PM €388
Edifier m90 €240

What do you suggest I do?

Option 1
Sell the Wharfedales and get powered speakers and possibly an audio interface. In this case, budget €400, but if it's really worth it, €500.
Option 2
I'll keep the Wharfedales for now and just get the amplifier and DAC. Budget €200-350 if possible
Option 3
Sell the Fosi K7 and replace it with a DAC/headphone amplifier that can act as a DAC/preamp for the power amplifier.

My desk is 180x64cm. I'd like to avoid excessively deep speakers. I don't think they should be deeper than 25-26cm.
I live in Europe. Some brands are therefore a bit hard to find.
I listen to music on my PC. Clarity of listening, instrument separation, wide soundstage is what I look for.
I really listen to a bit of everything: classical, metal, jazz, bossa nova, JPop, instrumental.
Aesthetics are important to me. The less equipment I have on my desk, the better.
I don't want to add a subwoofer.
My PC doesn't have digital audio outputs.

ABout 20 years ago, I built a simple TDA2006 stereo amplifier, that was located inside the desktop PC cabinet, and powered from the PC PSU +/-12V itself, previously slightly modified, changing the diodes and the 'lytic of the -12V line, blue cable. I didn't need terrible power, like your case. I managed volume and tone from the win98 console directly. Simple and effective. Latter, I replaced such Class AB by a Class D amp, again, internally powered.

Visit your local pro audio store and try near field monitors. This is what is needed for desktop listening.

I would consider option 2. And, probably your PC has a digital audio output (USB). Since the PC is your source, you can use (software based) DSP for free, to improve the sound of the Wharfedales.

It would certainly be the best solution, but not exactly easy to do.

Considering a price difference of €50, is it better to choose the Kali audio lp-unf connected to the PC via USB, or the lp-6 v2 connected to the PC's motherboard with an RCA cable?

Hi!

I've recently finished 'building' my near‑field listening system. And I'm completely satisfied with the result.
My desk is significantly smaller than yours, yet there's no clutter, in my opinion.

My audio chain: miniPC (Arch Linux) → Topping HS 02 → Fiio K7bt → Edifier MR4.5. After applying correction with DecayCore, I got very good sound.

P.S. Purely subjectively, I currently like the sound more than on my previous Exposure + Triangle TITUS 202 setup...
