Hi Amigos,
I have finished assembling my Fidelia by Audio First Designs speakers.
I wanted to share some pictures and I will also make some measurements this next weekend. I think most of you are familiar with this Fidelia kit, which is now available in an "RTR" (ready to run) version. Personally, I made the purchase in two stages because I wanted to test the Crossover on another project.
Also note that the cabinets have a raw, sandblasted finish and are made of birch wood.
The Fidelia speakers were tested by Erin and are in the top 3 of the best bookshelf speakers he tested; their directivity and bass reflex port performance are exemplary.
They are quite simple to assemble and the online tutorial is very easy to follow. This kit is really well made; you can see that Harry designed the cabinets with a lot of ingenuity, and the crossover is impressive in both size and quality. (The size of the crossover is 118 mm x 234 mm.)
I'll probably treat the cabinets with Danish oil as soon as I have some free time so that the wood grain really stands out.
In the meantime, here are some photos taken during the assembly.
